My worst experience as a fan was the WCF at 97. Stockton hit that 3 and crushed my spirits. I think that is the only time I ever cried after a sporting event.
"Stockton for three! YES! ! AND THE JAZZ WIN IT!" My best friend reminds me of that shot all the time since he's a Jazz fan.
The off-season right before the '96 season. I knew once Jordan, Pip, and Rodman got together, it would mean no more championships for everyone else......much less us. The saddest though is the 3rd quarter of that game where Stockton hit the '3' after that pick....errrr.....bear-hug by Malone on Drexler. I really do think that was one of the worst non-calls in basketball history. Anyway, it was when we were up by double digits and we began celebrating too damn early. It was the 3rd freakin' quarter. Right then, at that point I knew we were going to lose and never make another serious run. Really sad.
Losing to Seattle in the playoffs the year before we won our first title. I remember Hakeem took an off balance three point shot to try to tie it up. I hated losing to Seattle. That was a great series. Each team seemed to excel on the other team's court.
It's when another Rockets fan ask me ' what has been my worst moment as a Rockets fan", it just doesn't make any sense. We love this team through the good times and the bad. Nah, j/k. It was Stockton, the old dude hitting the 3.
When Scottie Pippen turned the ball over vs. the Lakers in the closing moments, and then in the post game interview proceeded to blame Charles Barkley and his lack of clock management knowlege for the loss.
The Stockton shot, and especially, this season. I've never been more disappointed in a team than I have been this year.
