All Honda's 80 Civic Hatchback (stick) Sold to cousin and he drove the car until it ran out of oil! Never got an oil change! Sad death to a good car. 84 Accord 2dr (stick) totalled on 610 at 18th St. it was raining and the Dodge Ram Charger that was entering 610 did several 360's then slammed the concrete divider then skidded into my lane and I slammed into it. My car was totalled, the Dodge had a dent about the size of a baseball in his bumper but his car was totally messed up from banging into the divider!! HPD gave him a ticket for failure to take proper evasive action!! 84 Civic 4 dr (auto) Timing belt broke and engine seized up. Sold for scrap to the HondaCar Shop and they fixed it and now use it as a loaner!! Ha! 2000 Civic Hatchback (auto) First 'new' car. No wrecks but after a couple of months I ran over some rebar that was hanging off of a curb. The rebar popped up and smacked my car leaving a 2 inch long dent that chipped the paint. I got the construction company to pay for it. Then I got a huge dent in the passenger rear quarter panel from a grocery cart! ugh! Not fixed yet, but no chipped paint!

All of mine have been hand me downs. Oh well, I DID NOT PAY once cent of it. Hehehe. Anyways 1999 - 2000 '89 4 Door Honda Civic LX Its funny since I am asian, once i tell me people my car, they think its all fixed up. I had to dissappoint them and said "Its just a plain ol' 4 door Civic". 2000- present '93 Toyota Camary LE LOVE THIS CAR. It was my mom's car and she bought a 2001 Accord and gave me this. I was used to the car already because I always drove my mom around since I started driving in '98. Its in great condition, A/C, power windows and everything still works. Just last month I installed a Aiwa CD MP3 player in it. Love it, and got a crap load of music to listen to now.

March 2000-Present - Holden VL (1988) Commodore Manual - BIG, BIG plans for this car in the next few years (engine, gearbox, suspension, brake, exhaust etc. upgrade and full re-spray) October 2001-Present - Holden Barina (1994) a.k.a re-badged Suzuki Swift (girlfriends car which I drive on occassions)
1991 Mercury Cougar - black with silver trim. I LOVED THAT CAR. I'd driven it in High School when my father was out of the country on business. When I got it in college, the air conditioner had died. It was terribly, uncomfortably, SCALDINGLY hot because it was black and had such little airflow. I drove it in San Antonio during the summer when it NEVER rained, NEVER got cool, NEVER got below 100. It was SO AWFUL. But I had so many experiences with that car . . . it was fast too, I beat a Camaro once. I remember driving it to Albertsons in the middle of the night to get Dr. Pepper . . . I remember duct-taping my shelving unit to it and transporting it from my one dorm to another dorm across campus . . . then moving my chair and a fridge . . . and the time I got stuck in a ghetto in Houston in December (it was like 30 degrees out) and couldn't get my windows to de-fog with heat, so I had to put the defog under cold while I was sick, and I got even worse. Gosh, I had some great memories with that car . . . A few years ago, there was a HUGE hail storm in San Antonio. I was up in KC at my grandfather's funeral. I came back to a cracked windshield and dented up car. The insurance salvaged the car, and my dad bought a new chevy truck. So I got the car he was driving: 1994 Chevy Suburban 4WD - Navy Blue. This was my mom's car when we moved back from Norway, then she got the 99 suburban when I got the cougar, and then when my father got the truck, I got the blue suburban. I had tons of great memories with this car as well. The time I got caught driving across campus and parking in front of the dorm, then 3 hours later getting busted for no headlights BY THE SAME COPS . . . the time we got hit by the drunk driver and I chased him down Bandera . . . the time I pulled it up to Holy Rosary and we had a party for the kids where I played music out of the rear speakers, and we served pizza and drinks out of the back . . . the many times I took EVERYONE clubbing . . . the time a freaking condor-sized duck flew into the side of it . . . oh man, I had some great memories with this car too. But when I had the opportunity to get the next car, I had to take it: 1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham - This was my grandfather's car. He didn't want it any more, and I have ALWAYS loved it. Ever since I was little, I wanted to grow up and own this car. It has the GREATEST air conditioning ever, comfortable seats, and the most pimp look this side of Kelvin Cato's rainbow car. I've only had it for 3 weeks now. Everywhere I go, someone comments on it. At stoplights, when there is a guy asking for money, he'll come up to me and we talk about the car. I've been in supermarket parking lots where people will drive by and talk about it. I had it 2 days and I got an offer on it!! Everything on it is original except for the VERY front section, which is like 12 years old. The car has 81K miles on it. Even the paint is original. The interior is in GREAT condition, the rims are stylin, the tires are whitewall. It rides almost like a lowrider, it's so low to the ground. It's in GREAT condition, although I need to get the accident damage fixed (not big though). I am looking forward to keeping this car a LONG time, and having lots of fun with it. I want to get it re-painted at some point, and I may do that with my tax refund money. I also need to get some better sound in there, because right now it's no good in that department, although it picks up AM radio better than any radio I've ever used before. The antenna is embedded in the windshield! Every single day, I look forward to driving it. It drives nicely, and catches looks and comments everywhere. I'm looking forward to driving it to some concerts this may, and then to the oldsmobile show/convention in August, and if I do some work on it, showing it off a bit at some of the Oldsmobile shows
1990 to 1992 1985 Chevy Nova (which is really a Toyota Corolla with a Chevrolet bowtie). It was submerged in a flood on I-37 in Corpus Christi on my HS graduation. 1992 to 1993 1991 Chevy Corsica. A pretty ho-hum car, and it was hail damaged, but that's why Thrifty was selling it so cheap. 1993 to 2000 1993 Chevy Camaro . Great until it hit an early 30K miles. Then everything fell apart. Then again, getting stolen and filled with water at a car wash never helps any electrical system. 1999 to 2000 I test drove cars on two week intervals for my employer. It kept me from buying a car when it was clear my Camaro was near death. As long as I wrote about it, I was able to drive the cars, and all the gas and maintenance was free. You can read what we wrote on (I'm Zach): http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/longterm/articles/ I personally drove : 1998 Dodge Intrepid 1998 Ford Ranger 1999 GMC Sierra SLT 1999 Honda Odyssey EX and my favorite, a 1996 Jaguar Vanden Plas When the company had 25 people, they were eager to have us drive. Once we got up to 170, the program was only for editors and executives. So i bought my current car, 2000 to present 2000 Hyundai Tiburon . Since I work for a company that does car pricing, and can kick the local Koreatown slang, I was able to snag a great deal. It was amazing that a car dealership in America could survive without and English-proficient staff, but I guess they know their audience. In any case, other than the car's small size (good for LA, not so good for a 6'1" 215 pound stature). But in any case, the car is a total cherry, and ownership wise, especially for the money, it beats everything on the list above. I was tempted to trade it in for an F-150, but 10 year warranty is hard to give up. --Deji
88-94 - 86 Black Cavalier Z24 - boxy, quick 92-96 - 90 Blue Geo Prizm 94-present - 95 Gold Geo Prizm 98-01 - 98 Silver Honda Accord V6 LX 01-present - Fire Mountain Red Chevy Trailblazer - I love this vehicle (where do they come up with these color names?)
1993-1992 -- '89 Ford Thunderbird LX. A decent car that got me where I needed to go, my Bird was my first car. I traded it in 1994 for: 1994-Present -- '93 Mustang GT hatchback. I finally got my 5.0, and there's no way in hell I'm giving her up. Ever.
1997-1999: 1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. Hand me down from my grandma after she passed away. Awesome car, had 110K when I sold it, never had anything even resembling a problem with it 1999-present: 1996 Acura 3.2 TL. I am absolutely in love with this car. Driven the Alaska Highway 4 times in it (3000 miles each way). So many incredible memories, mostly road trips and making good use of the reclining leather seats in the front! No problems, excellent car, and above all, handles BEAUTIFULLY in snow and ice AND starts easily in cold weather (see my location). Currently has 112,000 miles on it and increasing every day.
1999-2000: 1991 Mercury Sable - Handdown from parents. Was totalted when I was stopped waiting to make a left turn and an SUV plowed in the back of me at 30mph. Happened to be a friend of mine who did it, too. late 2000-present: 1992 Ford Tempo - no a/c, only one fully working window, no working muffler, power steering leak, and some chipped paint. But I love my car.
