I chose cautiously optimistic. I have faith that the Rockets will steal one of these two games in LA but LA IMO is the best team in basketball and we will need to play perfect to win a 4 game series vs them

We need to play perfect, as you said.

Just because of this, I don't think we can pull this series off. Game 1 will pretty much tell the tale.

Are we gonna come out guns 'ablazin, with nothing to lose?

Or are we gonna come out scared, with nothing to lose?

we can come out guns 'ablazin' and still lose. they can easily keep up with our offensive output. we would need brooks, artest, wafer, and landry to be consistent every night.... and we all know thats not going to happen

i'm pumped cause I know this series is going 6 or 7 games, when some people are choosing the Lakers in 5 (and even a sweep)

I'm still very worried about the 4th quarters though (Kobe time, getting the ball to Yao, etc.)
We always fall apart in the 4th

I'm actually still on my little cloud. Can't realize we came out of the first round and am still savoring it!

I'm not nervous at all. All the series we've had since Tmac got here had me on edge, as I alway thought that we could and should win them. This time I know we're a bit outclassed, so I'm just gonna be happy no matter what. It's all about my expectations and as long as the rockets play hard, they've met them.

My mood? My mood is that I have ZERO expectations from the Rockets as far as winning this series goes. I'm just kind've holding my breath waiting for a miracle to happen.

Let's face it.. a lot of us have our homer glasses on thinking that the Rockets have a good shot in this series, but the fact remains that if the Rockets somehow won this series, it would be a HUGE upset. It would be the story of the year in the NBA by far.

    Not getting my hopes up.

Cautiously Optimistic - I have faith that the Rockets can make this an interesting/competitive series, but I can't say with a straight face that I see them winning.

My heart says "Yes"; My mind says "No."

Either way, I'll root for the Rockets until the end. Go out blazin', boys.

The closest I am is "Cautiously Optimistic". I know the odds are long against the Rockets but I'm pumped up for this series and excited to see the Rockets still playing in May after so many years.

    GO ROCKETS!

Cautiously optimistic. We're hungry and have nothing to lose. If we go out and play loose tonight, we can end up stealing Game 1, which can go a long way to extending the series.

I'm excited about the game tonight. More excited than I have been in a long time. I not only want a win for the game tonight, but I want a sweep for the series. Will that happen? Probably not. But that's what I want.

I work tonight, and get out 30 minutes after the game starts. It's kind of a good thing, because if I didn't, the game would take forever to get here.

I'm still feeling relief that we've made it to the 2nd, and really pumped for tonight. I know the odds are against us, but if my team has more than a 1% chance of winning (and we do) than I'm always optimistic.

im happy we got out of the first round, but i know the lakers are going to win.

i want us to at least put up a fight and go to 6 games, then i'll call this season a success.

but if we get swept or lose in 5, it puts a little damper on our first round success.

    i have a feeling we'll lose in 5 though.

It feels like a bad back... "day to day". Only I'd translate that to "game to game".

People are saying the Rockets have to play near perfect to take the series. If that truly is the case then I don't see it happening.

But, since they just have to have 1 more point than LA at the buzzer, then it will hinge on three main tasks: 1)Defense 2)Rebounding and 3)Shooting a little above their season average. (Importance in that order.)

Poise and confidence will also be keys. If the Lakers get a 12-15 point lead, the Rockets may lose their poise and get away from their game plan. Then look for a snowball effect.

If it were me, I'd get the team to attack the rim -- try to get some early fouls -- and not settle for jumpers. Mix it up.

Unless the Rockets can limit their turnovers. They had way too many against the Lakers in the regular season.

Doing this will eliminate easy baskets for the Lakers. We must take care of the ball.

My mood is Hopeful. The Rockets have a shot, and as a fan, I hope they win. I don't necessarily think they will win or won't win. I believe that can and hope they will.

Picked the number 2 option. I'm pumped for game 1.. I really am nervous about it. My mood towards game 1 is basically like game 1 vs. the Blazers x2. I am a believer though, 100%.

Something just won't let me lose confidence...whether it's my mind or my heart...i just believe we're going to win...not saying "LA has no shot" but i'm very confident.
