Now that we are at the 20-game mark, let's commemmorate this point of the season by pointing out the ROX organization's greatest blunder's blunders.

For an example, see my signature.

After the Pistons game, she said "CALVIN Cato"!!!!

Not only does she suck, but she's also stealing Lisa Malosky's mistakes!! If I were Malosky, I'd consider getting a lawyer...

LOL, I dont know whether to be upset or greatful that I am not able to see these world class interviews! Would I laugh or cringe? On the other hand, if these interviews are as painful as Tim Hardaway was on ESPN's broadcasts last year then I am GLAD I am missing these interviews!

Actually, Bill Worrell has made my favorite mistakes this year. "Steve Francis, the #1 pick of the draft" Uh, what about Elton Brand? He's done that twice in consecutive games. There was another big one, but I don't remember what it was at the moment. Oh well, at least I enjoy listening to him.

Worrell uttered my favaorite announcer comment of all time. Someone said that Jim Deshaies' (Astros pitcher) main problem was his lack of consistency. Worrell defended Deshaies by saying, "He's consistent, just not all the time". Worrell was dead serious when he said it.

Yesterday, Cooper said that Zach Randolph's career made a 360 degree turn.

:D That's classic Coop right there.

I used to love how she would use the word "awesome" every other word when she got nervous and couldn't think of anything to say. I think that someone must have brought this up to her because Coop doesn't say it as often.

You would probably cringe at first and then laugh, but the laughter would soon turn to tears, she's that bad. Every other word is "um."

To the Rockets organization: I understand that Coop has a lot of basketball knowledge, but she is the worst commentator I have ever heard. Ya'll changed everything concerning the Rockets, even the things that didn't need to be changed:

    1. Even though watching Lisa M. was tough, I could atleast listen to her, Coop has got to go.

    2. What was wrong with the old arena announcer? He had a good strong voice that put the crowd in the game. T-Gray trying to get the crowd to chant "defense" is one of the most embarassing things I've ever heard. The guy might be a good radio dj, but PLEASE GO BACK TO THE OLD GUY!!.

    3. Also, get rid of that drumming introduction, it is so lame.

    * I am a huge Rockets Fan, but the introduction and T-Gray makes me rather watch the game on t.v. then actually go to the game, YES-THEY ARE THAT BAD.

My favorite announcer moment was when Bill Worrel was reiterating a comment that JVG had made: "Our offense looks discomboobulated." He said it about 3 more times before going to commercial break; afterwards, he said it correctly. Everyone watching the game with me laughed so damn hard; Bill just wanted an excuse to say "boob" on TV without referring to Amaechi.

I don't have a favorite Cynthia Cooper blunder, but maybe that's because the TV is off during halftime.

If you teach a commentating class and you need to show students how NOT to commentate, look no further.

Her biggest blunder was her decision to dance with the powerdancers a couple of games ago. Man did she look uncoordinated ... and unattractive.

Note to Coop -- let guys interview the hotties.

I wish Cooper would just be herself. A Sports commentator. Comment! Nothing more, nothing less.

Forget the interviews. It's not her thing. Just talk about the game. That's it. Simple. She's trying too much on being a jounalist/broadcaster.

    NO, Coop! No!

And please stop saying, "I'd be interested in what Bill and Calvin would have to say about the topic..."

That's just a bad transition phrase...no flow, and way too obvious a nervous pass off.

I forgot about that. But I'm happy when that happens. It means that she's gonna ST*U.

Maybe she can give the same perspective,

    disclaimer:

I have no idea if she's gay, that's just a joke because she played in the WNBA.

the best blunders so far have been discussed, so I will mention the Rockets second biggest blunder when it comes to the broadcast team.

Not hiring Air Bull instead of Coop.
Bull looks so comfortable when he talks, and makes good points without falling over his tongue.

    Hire Bull Full time!

example was my signature (1st post).

I love it when you guys agree with me. But then, somehow, I get a letter from the admins. saying: "is this really worth a thread?" :D

    I got another one:

"When Steve makes the correct pass at the correct time, it's good basketball." - gets the Einstein award.

It hurts to watch her. She must not of had to audition for this position.
