I'm thinking about adding a second one to my collection...I currently have a 16 inch barrel by Colt (HBAR match target)...

For those who are enthusiasts, you know there are several makes besides Colt, like Bushmaster, Olympic arms, Armalite, etc...

If you have one these sporting arms would you recommend yours? Is the longer barrel necessarily that better regarding distance accuracy? Is a 1 in 9 twist really best overall? Any serious jamming issues? Do all AR-15 types really jam at times?...I know, too many questions and not enough AR- 15 shooters....

    http://www.bushmaster.com/

This link shows one in camo.

They look like M16 military weapons, but are civilian approved since they are semi-auto...not automatic....

Next question, why would any civilian need one of those? If you say hunting I'm going to crack up laughing.

It reminds me of that scene in "Distinguished Gentleman" where Eddie Murphy is out duck hunting and his hunting partners pop out of the brush with guns like those firing round after round at a flock of duck and only one comes falling to the ground. Eddie then says "Must have had a heart attack."

Hunting is one of it's uses...I can think of others. ;)

This statement reminds me of the time it started raining yesterday and my car hydroplaned and I "accidentally" ran over a Tony Perez sign, I then ran over a duck and said "It must have had a heart attack".
