My wish is for the Rox to get a true point guard, to help JVG orchestrate an inside-out, and outside-in passing game. a multi-dimension offensive scheme that keeps the defense on its toes
My wish is for Yao's balls to drop so he can play like a 7'6 big man that WANTS the ball and isn't just grateful to have it whenever the guards feel like giving it to him. I want him to throw some elbows at his opponents, bully them, and make them scared to claw and scratch him for the rest of the season. I want our opponents big men to wake up with big welted bruises on their backside and I want their hips to still be rattling the day after they after they try and hip check Yao. I want Yao to be a leader for this team since SF has failed miserably for the past 4 years at doing just that. I want him to do what Barkley did anytime any player stuck their body too close to his body and swing his elbows. Barkley would get an offensive foul everytime for doing that but you could rest assured nobody would **** with him for the remainder of the night and would respect his post up game. I want Yao to make a decision the moment he gets the ball instead of holding onto it in the low post so the opposing teams defense can get settled in. He slows down the offense too much taking so much time to decide how he wants to post up a player. Make a move the moment you get the ball and decide whether your going to pass it or do an up and under, or fadeaway, or hook, or whatever move. Just do it quicker. I want him to dunk on any attempt that's close to the basket from 3 feet on in. Grow some balls Yao! And no I'm not a Yao only fan. I just want our franchise center to start acting and playing like a franchise center instead of playing like such a wuss.
don't worry london, he's getting there. compare how hep layed from last year to this year. biiig improvement.
1. More passing, less dribbling. (The Sonics totally schooled the Rockets in ball handing last night) 2. Yao Ming to be more AGGRESSIVE. (When he's close to the basket, use your height and SLAM the ball down. You're not 7'6 for nothing)
1. For Steve Francis to learn what it takes to become a true point guard. 2. Trade Moochie Norris. 3. Breast reduction surgery for John Amaechi so he can see some PT.
That Les sell the organization to someone who likes and cares about the city, the history of the organization, and is willing to put "Houston" back on the road uniforms. JVG getting fed up and walking away like he did in New York would be a pretty nifty stocking stuffer if Santa's feeling extra generous.
This guy wants to sell uniforms in Asia. How in the heck is he going to make any money from this team? It's certainly not from the attendance. It's the external revenues that come indirectly from having Yao on the team. Les has been one of the best owners of sports franchises this city has ever had. He's bankrolling a team filled with guys that Rudy T and CD thought were good enough to give long-term contracts to. McLane would have fired CD already for these moves.
