The other threads were just about basketball. This is a brag thread regardless of sport. Me: I have a good arm, and a pretty quick release. I never threw accurately enough to pitch, but in baseball, and especially now in softball, it helps me at third base. I played in a work softball league where we played slowpitch softball on baseball fields (the championship was played at Minute Maid Park), and I was the only third baseman that I saw that could get the ball across to first with some juice left on it.
back in the day: middle infield defense today: hitting grounders to middle infielders. i do like running, though. nice way to start a morning.
well, when i had two good knees last year i played shortstop in softball. i don't have a strong arm, but people always commented on how fast i was and surprised because i've got a stocky build. i would run down pop flys to the outfield and get to dribblers quickly. my most memorable play was turning a 6-3 triple play.
I got an unassisted triple play playing 2B in church league softball once. The batter hit a little dying liner that everyone thought was going to drop and probably get through. I caught it, tagged the runner that was running to 2nd, and beat the runner on 2nd back to the bag.
Ultimate Frisbee- handling This is similar to quarterback in football. You're throwing the frisbee for the receivers to catch. Last saturday I made a high arcing throw from midfield to a reciever streaking into the end zone and one of his teammates turned to me and said "That was pretty."
Pretty quick, with good handles and a good jump shot in basketball. I'm REALLY accurate with a football, and can usually play QB in flag football leagues, but I usually end up playing WR/DB because of my speed. I can hold my own on a soccer field as well. Outside of that, I've been known to be a pretty good smoosher as well.
Adam Everett? Most of my ability is soccer related...I'm a very accurate crosser and passer in general. I also have a cannon for a right leg. I've injured people (mostly not on purpose).
pushups, as I am a lightweight with pretty good upper body strength. I have a 90 mile per hour first serve in tennis. Quickness and endurance. and I play a mean kickball/dodgeball.
