For the last 3 or 4 games we've missed at least 7 free throws (not exact number, don't castrate me). We're 3rd in the league at FT% but it looks like this number is starting to slip. I thought FT was an area we definitely improved on this year but i hate to see us get into (maybe even lose) close games because of missed free shots. Hopefully, we take more time with our shots and get back into the rhythm.
Because of the schedule and all the back to backs, there hasn't been any time to practice. They need to get more reps in at the FT line but there just hasn't been time to squeeze it in. I expect it to get better after this stretch ending with the SA game.
I dont think this reeally affects them much this far into the season, as long as they get reps in during warm ups they should be ok. I think playing a lot of games recently, this being a back to back, and them running more has them a bit tired, sore legs, etc, so they're are shooting their free throws with less leg, more arm..
I reckon its got to be fatigue more than repetition since they've been practicing for so long on freethrows
Wafer is horrible at the line....why is this guy shooting so bad. He's so good from downtown but inconsistent at the line. EVeryone seems to be missing free throws tonight. Even Brooks missed them. If they made their free throws, this game is not even close.
we have to practice our free throws, practice makes perfect, if yao practices and wafer practices and chuck practices than everyone will practice than our whole team practice even the coach practice and we'll do good cuz we practiced
haha that laugh was kinda funny and um i think it was a back to back and plus with the high altitude cuz man with our regular free throw percentage we could've blew them away long time ago
Chance. Some games we don't miss a foul shot. Some games we miss a lot. We are an 81% free throw shooting team, so 19% of the time we miss. Some days, we'll miss far less than 19% of our foul shots, and some days we'll miss far more. This was a bad day. Of course, there are other factors. Namely, concentration...but the reason it gets bad enough that we notice it is a substantial dosage of chance.
