I mean anything. I’m not a visitor, I live on the east side of the beltway. I just think I’m getting lazy and with gas prices getting higher and higher it’s getting harder to justify driving to the galleria area just for good food and fun places to go to. I’m open for any suggestions.

    San Jacinto Battleground?

Not much out that way. Rockets2K might chime in. He lives out in that "neck" of the woods. :)

nothing literally. I used to live in the north shore area. and growng up there, was nothing to do. Hell before I moved of there memoriial day last year, they still didn't have a Starbucks till recently

I keep my sanity going to San Jacinto mall in Baytown, or went to Humble at Deerbrook Mall

I live in Northshore. There is a great BBQ place called Brother In Laws, a really fine soul food joint called My Foods All That. In Baytown there is a combo steak house/meat market/BBQ joint called Roosters.

(Leave it to the fat guy to only mention places to eat). Its a fairly short drive to downtown, MMP and Toyota Center and the bars and clubs around there. I like Red's Sports Bar on Woodforest...that's real close.

 people actually go to San Jacinto mall. It is the WORST MALL EVER.

I know there's nothing there, i was just hoping someone would bring up some real gems that i might have overlooked. I remember i went to this little greek restaurant on normandy some months ago and lets just say i won't be going there ever again.

Not sure if you're a fisherman or not but there are some decent wade fishing places just a little further east in Anahuac. Of course that might be a little to far since you are looking for something close - not sure how far east you live. You can catch your own shrimp for bait with a cast net in some of the small pools but watch out as I have seen some gators in that brackish water and you don't want that net end wrapped around your wrist when the gator goes into a roll after you cast your net on him/her.

Things to do on the east side = choke on the chemical soaked air.
