Whassup I'm going on a trip with a few of my friends (3 guys including me and 5 girls) to San Antonio and also San Marcos. The girls already have there plans just like every other girl which is SHOPPING and us guys are bored not knowing what to do when we get to San Marcos and San Antonio. Well so far the plan is going to San Marcos and then let the girls shop, while the guys are uhh.. walking around?? We have made plans to stay in San Antonio for 2 nights on Friday and Saturday and coming back on Sunday morning i believe. Well I was hoping if ya'll had any ideas in San Antonio that we may go to. Here are the guy's plans so far: 1. Find a haunted railroad tracks that was heard about in San Antonio. 2. Check out some hot ladies. 3. Check out some hot ladies. 4. See 2 and 3. Yea the list is kind of short so we're gonna need help We may be leaving Thursday around 4am or something to beat traffic so please help us with the ideas Thanks
oh yea we're kind of short on money hehe well the guyz are.. not the girls.. they are going on a shopping spree... i guess im going to have to eat bread and water for the trip.
What's there to do in Fat Antonio?? EAT, of course... after all, Fat Antonio is the fattest city in Texas.
Come on you tease...tell us about the hauntd railroad. BTW- SA is a great town. You should stop by Fort Sam Houston and tell all of those Docs in training thanks. Get drunk on the river walk and try to pee in it without getting caught.
In that case, you'd be better off driving to Austin on Thursday night for dollar beers on 6th St. Aquarium, Library, and Spill, all have $1 any beer in the house. Logan's has a good crowd usually. Shakespeares's is cool too- $2 anything in house. Chugging Monkey isn't too bad either. Coppertank has some nice scenery.
My friend told me that his friends went to a railraod track in San Antonio where they actually have a ghost that walks around there and have "seen" him. I don't believe him but I want him to prove me wrong. Kinda creepy but it sure sounds like fun. And you know i'll be singing the "Yao Ming" song on my way up there
I did the haunted railroad tracks back in 1999. It's not a single ghost, it's a bus load of children ghosts. The story is that a bus stalled on those railroad tracks and a train came by and hit the bus, killing all the kids. Now those kids haunt the same railroad tracks, pushing cars over to safety when they are idling on the tracks. So people like me drive there to put our cars in neutral on the same spot the bus accident happened to see if our cars actually move. A car filled with my friends drove to San Antonio at 11pm on a Saturday night just for the hell of it to see if it was true. We found the place by 1am. TALK ABOUT A JOKE!!!!!!!!!! There was a freakin' line to put your car on the railroad tracks. The place was littered with little high school kids, walking up and down the tracks, playing loud music, and basically having a party at the spot. One of our friends was too chicken to come with us to S.A. so we decided to play a prank on her. We covered the back of my car in baby powder and put our own fingerprints on it. We then took several pictures and showed them too her the next day, as proof that the ghosts existed. She bought the tale hook, line, and sinker. We told her the truth about 6 months later, because we had forgotten about our tall tale and allegedly she had been telling EVERYONE about the story, making her look even more foolish. Anyways, the morale of my story is: DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! By the way, there was one freaky part to the whole experience. The streets you have to drive on to find the tracks are in a neighborhood with no street lights and the streets are actually named after each child that died in the bus accident. Driving down "Mary Ann Street" in total darkness was a tad eerie.
*rockHEAD is right, EAT, EAT, EAT! I mean there is ALOT to eat in San Antonio...so take part in that. GREAT Mexican restaurants all over the freakin' place! No really...its no wonder they call it FAT Antonio! *Fiesta starts this weekend so find a local paper and see whats going on. Its a week long party, although that might cost a little $$. *I would strongly suggest going to some of the missions. They are really, really beautiful and I think they are even free. I'll ride to all the missions on bikes with my friends from there. Very nice trails connecting them all. People are joggin and stuff all over the place! http://www.mysa.com/mysanantonio/entertainment/cityguide/alamo/missions/ http://hotx.com/missions/ *P.S. the last time I was ridin bikes on the mission trails, me and my friend saw a NUTRIA in the San Antonio river! http://nas.er.usgs.gov/mammals/
Also the Ripley's believe it or not museum is there...pretty spooky stuff. As for falling in....ah....what makes you say that? DD
We need pictures. Beg, steal, borrow, rob...whatever you have to do to get a digital camera...it is your duty as a bbs poster (not to mention as a man) to provide us with pictures.
