It is about not admitting mistakes, and not holding people accountable for bad decisions and mistakes they made.

I am also neither republican nor democrat.

Iraq is about oil and about getting the man that tried to shoot Bush's pop.

It is about gaining a staging area for US "intervention" in Iran and Syria. It is about showing a concrete battle in retaliation to 911 so that Bush doesn't have to admit that "THE WAR ON TERROR" isn't a war we can win through battle.

It is about showing the rest of the world who's boss.

It's currently about providing a training ground and recruiting area for new terrorists.

If we really **** up it could be about civil war and reinstatement of Sadaam as ruler. Wouldn't that be a hoot...

    Regards,
    Brock

    It is about Greed.

    It is about Power.

    It is about corruption.

It is about terrorrists, not to get rid of them, but to breed them in Iraq.

It is about Democracy, not in Iraq, but loss of democracy on American soil.

It is about using American soldiers for the purpose of a few.

General Dynamics stock has shot through the roof. If you did not own it, your'e a moron.

Also look at Haliburton? Why wouldn't anyone want to own that company? Not anymore... the glory days are somewhat over :( But still.

Oil is getting to cheap though, gas companies aren't making enough money. I hope we invade Iran, North Korea, and maybe Venezuela. That will help my cause.

The patriot act, the war on terror. They've been the greatest thing to ever happen to these defense companies.

    God Bless America

PS If you disapprove of what I say, your'e a terrorist.

Because Iraq has "Weapons of Mass Destrucion" therefore being a direct threat to the United States of America. Of course later we found out that there were no WMD right after the government lied to the the country that their was proof.

I would give you an answer, but in a couple of months, it will probably be something completely different and the previous answer just a liberal myth.

Iraq has the second largest oil reserves in the world.

Everyone hates Saddam, so why not invade them, because there probably would not be much resistance both inside Iraq and in the rest of the ME and the people would be thrilled to see him gone, thus being able to set up a government that is pro-US.

This was the thinking. Of course things didn't go as planned. We didn't understand the Iraqi people, we didn't have enough troops to secure the country after the invasion and we didn't get the electric and other services in place soon enough to win the people over quickly enough.

It's about domestic politics and cynically using fear and a war of choice to solidify a hold on power.
