for those who are married obviously, if not chime in anyways. i'm married, only for almost a year and a half. we argue, perhaps as much as other couples do, but we have times when we can't stand each other. don't know if it's possible to live my whole life like this. yes, we can both be selfish, yes, we can both be very brutal and say things we don't mean when arguing. not complaining, i love my wife, just want to know from other CC posters. BTW, Morey is god!
It's so cliche to say communication is the key, but it's a very true statement. Learning how to talk in a positive manner is one of the most important things you can do. There will always be stupid arguments because you're tired or sick or just pain irritable that day, but you have to learn how to table those and come back to the points at a later time when things have calmed down and you can communicate reasonably. My wife and I get along really well, but we occasionally argue. Probably a lot more these days because our 7 month old still isn't sleeping through the night, we both work a lot, and our 2 year old takes a ton of energy. Our fights are always about stupid things or misinterpretations. If we allow them to escalate they can become nasty fights, but we try to stop them on the spot. We use the phrase "tired, cranky, pissy" to kind of say no blame is assigned in this, let's table it, and we can talk about this when we're not so riled up. We're coming up on 8 years of marriage, and I count myself luck that my wife is my best friend. And it also helps that she's a chef and a Rocket fan.
I have been with mine for 12 years, and let me tell you...I aint got a clue. I was hoping to get some info in here, lol.
or put a strain on the marriage, raising a child is difficult, or at least has been for us. not enough sleep, overtime work, work on weekends, etc...
not long, maybe a year. she is the most beautiful woman, and has the best personality of all the women i've ever dated, i knew i wanted to marry her the first time i got pissed drunk with her. hahaha.
that must be an american custom, we have sushi and BJ day, let me rephrase that, we had sushi and BJ day.
can't, she's too smart for that. but i have a 6 week business trip coming up in march and april... but i aint gonna cheat on her.
she is, we disagree on some things i like doing like smoking... not cigarettes. we argue about it once every few months, it's gotten to a point where i don't even smoke anymore, unless i'm in a different continent.
