There are several great unanswered questions in history...Who was Jack the Ripper...Where is Alexander the Great's Grave...Who Shot JFK....What Happened to the Lindburg Baby...Where Was Atlantis, or Was Ir Real At All...How Does Tim Hardaway Have A Job That Has Anything To Do With Talking...What Was Stonehenge, and Who Built It...Is There A Yetti, Nessi, Bigfoot, etc...Who Were The Sea Peoples, and Where Did They Come From...What Happened To Emilia Earhardt (sp?), Jimmy Hoffa, and others...The list goes on and on...So what I would like to know is what each of you consider to be the greatest mystery in history..or, to put it another way, if you could solve any mystery ever, not for profit's sake, but just to know, what would it be?
I would have to say two of the greatest mysteries to me are: 1. What was the history of the world before history was recorded? 2. Is there any life any where else in our solar system or beyond our own galaxy?
i can guarantee you it does...i took out the shelves in my old fridge and got inside and closed it..the light WENT OUT. (yes, it's a HUGE fridge).
Considering the mystery behind the Roswell thing and how it gave birth to the UFO and Alien phenomena that continues to intrigue people I would probably like to find out what really took place. Although the government maintains the object discovered was merely a weather balloon researches claim that any person could identify the remains of a UFO from a weather balloon as they claim weather balloons back in the late forties and early fifties were made by the same foil that was used during this time to wrap candy bars. Therefore any person could decipher candy bar foil from UFO wreckage. If this could be proven either way it would be really something.
Hitler's death had a cloud of mystery. There was speculation that he faked his suicide in his bunker when Berlin fell, but forensics later proved that he did, in fact, die in that bunker. I'd have to say that the greatest mystery of all is: What happens when we die.
I think it has to be: Is there a God? Or perhaps more properly: Is there an irreducible force in the universe?
I actually meant to clarify that I didn't mean philosophical or metaphysical mysteries, but actual physical ones...I do appreciate all the other, as I am very much of a philosophical bent myself, but I'm actually asking about less ethereal matters.
Does Anna know I exist? Does Anna know I am her number 1 fan. Does Anna know that I love her soooooooooooooooooo damn much.
Where is Noah's Ark? Where is the lost city of Atlantis? What happened to the dinosaurs? Is there a Bermuda Triangle? Reincarnation?
My personal favorite mystery. What the hell happened in Point Pleasant, West Virginia and surrounding areas in the mid 1960s? The Mothman, the Men In Black, the UFOs, the collapse of the Silver Bridge...what does it all mean???
