I always read someone saying tmac has got no heart! tmac got no killer instinct cuz he always disappears in the 4th! Or even a thread like Manu is better than tmac!! Come on deep down we all know whose better.

So what do u think is tmac missing?

    Heart?Killer Instinct?Fire? Work Ethic?Passion?Conditioning?

Ill go with conditioning cuz everyone knows tmac healthy and in shape get's the job done we all remember the start of this season were he had of the best starts of his career he was throwing it down.attacking the basket and he was making big shots in he 4th. So i think it all comes down to being healthy!

HEALTH! Thats the only thing holding him back. Look at the pre-bad back Orlando T-Mac and see how good he was. I also think the injuries started to effect him mentally.

A reliable 3rd scroing option, and a decent bench

Tmac has it all.... except for the mental part...

if he had the same mental drive as Kobe... he would have been the best player in the league this year...

What Kobe lacked the most before Gasol arrived...

    That 3rd star!

That 3rd star will rejuvenate not only the whole team but it will energise T-Mac to a fresh new level. He will play every game knowing that his team will win.

Just like how Kobe changed after Gasol arrived.

    1) Injury prone!
    2) Shows no heart or love for the game like other superstars for example Kobe, KG, Lebron just to name a few. Looks like he just does not care to win, just plays because he has to.
    3) Complains about being tired. Which superstar complains about that? Every superstar averages more minutes than him, I dont see anyone else complaining.

It's lack of health. He's needing another score option. I mean, he's good. He fought in the playoffs.

what i said isn't just limited to what kobe has as in personal determination not to want to lose but to do everything in his power to gain some type of advantage in order for his team to win, this also includes his surrounding cast. his team compiled of so much talent, sure odom or gasol are no where near as talented and gifted as yao is but those two players combined contribute more to the game than just yao can. (and thats not to bash yao, he's one hell of a center in the age where the center position is lacking so severely its not even funny) tmac has lost his passion to take it to the next level is seems from the results of the play offs and what not. yes i know he's been plagued with injuries and he hasn't been fortunate like kobe has in terms of being healthy but kobe has always been a closer when the score is very close or the Lakers are sorely lacking some points. i've read the article where it says the lakers are 38% better when kobe isnt a volume shooter and as high as a % that kobe makes it has to hold true because basketball is a team sport. you can't just shoot lights out and not involve your team mates in the offense. i also believe that if tmac had a way better supporting cast we would be much better off in terms of him being able to rest those valuable periods where we could use that extra rejuvenated energy towards the 4th and final quarter.

give me a lamar odom on this team and i promise you, we'll be in the finals. and not to mention a clean bill of health for the entire core of the team and we'll also be likely to succeed.

Certainly Comparable! Esp. before Gasol arrived...Kobe even wanted to quit on the team which has invested in him for a whole decade! I don't see T-Mac wanting to get traded so he can win a few more games.

Not to deny Kobe's greatness right now, but its not if he was on a totally new level. Right now everyone's saying that Kobe is so great that he led his team to the NBA finals. But without Gasol...?!! Totally different.

Get that 3rd star and you'll see all your complaints about T-Mac vanishing...

like JVG says, it think it basically comes down to Tmac's body betraying him. the major difference between kobe and tmac to me, is explosiveness. some nights t-mac looks quick, and others sluggish. i don't think its from lack of effort, or not enough "heart", his body just can't do it for 40 minutes every night like kobe.

This is a dumb post. He doesn't have to play basketball if he doesn't want to.

You gotta be kidding me...sounds like typical post of a real hater.

lol. You have no idea what you are talking about, before Gasol arrived he DEMANDED a trade and in a n interview he said he was dead serious about it. Give it a rest with the heart crap, im sure you know exactly how it feels to lose a playoff series when you try that hard everytime

In my opinion maturity. No professional athlete gets poked in the eye and makes the world out of it like T-Mac does. I feel his composure is extremely poor: he shifted the blame onto Adelman and Landry when he missed the rebound after Deron Williams' two missed FTs in that one playoff game (forget which one); he says that he's tired; he says that "no one can take [the 22 game win streak] away from [them]"; but through it all, he still thinks he's one of the top five or ten players in the league (he said it himself in a Dan Patrick interview).

    Well, Tracy:
1.) You have the height, length, and athleticism to secure most any rebound. No excuse.
2.) So you're tired? How about everyone else in the NBA? Many players play MORE minutes than you do, but do you see them complaining about how "tired" they are? They may get paid less than you do, but they show more professionalism than you do.
3.) I do not deny, the 22W streak was amazing. But how many rings did you get for that? Did that streak help you out of the first round?
4.) It's hard to find an objective means to rank the players in the NBA, but did you make the All-Star team this year? Aren't the NBA's top ten players supposed to be in the All-NBA 1st or 2nd team? How hard is it to admit that you're not as good as you once were?

My problem with Tracy is his self-inflated image of himself. Until he realizes that he's just another basketball player now, I think this will be a problem in the near future.
