I have read a lot of negative posts about the rockets and some positive and thought it would be cool to have a thread where we put what is going good with the Rockets.

    The Franchise.
    - Better passing. Better use of teammates.
    - Setting up Yao for the dunk against San.
    - The Dunk off the assist from Yao in he Dallas game.

    The Cat.
    - Stressing Defense, in two interviews this year Cat has stressed defense. In particular his defense.
    - Leading scorer against the Cavs.
    - Good outside shooter.

    Mooch.
    - The Spurs game.
    - The comments that he has made about getting the ball into YAO.
    - His shooting percentage in the last few games.

    Hawkins.
    - Good cutting when Yao has the ball.
    - The Assist to Yao that put him over the top in the 9-9 game.
    - Pretty good defense.

    KT.
    - Rebounding.
    - Hustle

    EG
    - Not throwing a fit about his playing time.
    - Shot Blocking
    - The Cavs game.

    MO
    - Good Shooting in the phoenix game.
    - good Passing to Yao
    - Understanding His Role

    - BOKI
    - For playing well when he gets the chance.

    Jason Collier
    - Finally being aggressive.
    - Playing better when Cato was out.

    Maddox
    - For bring the name Tito to the Rockets. ( I haven't seen anything or heard a whole lot about what he has done in games but think Positive.

    Cato
    - For being the most improved Rocket from Last Year.
    - For mixing well with YAO

    TMO
    - Good couple of games. Welcome Back!

    Rice.
    - Shooting the lights out against the Clippers.

    Yao Ming
    - Great Interviews!
    - Good passing
    - Always trying hard.
    - Showing the doubter who is Shawn Bradley and who is Yao Ming.

    Rudy!
    - For not giving up and resorting back to only ISO'S!
    - For trying different things to make the team better.

    GO Rockets!

Besides the emergence of Ming, much much sooner than I anticipated I might add, I am most positive about the POSSIBLE shift to an inside-outside game. Not a return to "dump in days," where we watched Hakeem or Charles back back back back....but an inside-outside motion game where the offense runs through Ming. The best part of this is Ming is an outstanding passer. If the other players will stay in motion and make their cuts to the basket, Ming will hit them with timing passes. IF this happens, things could become very very good indeed!:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Francis: I love the midrange jumper. He's pushing the transition more this year. No hip-hopping.

Mobley: Glad to see him sit his ankles. Always has a much better 2nd Half than first half...by an amazing margin, actually.

    Yao: wow!

Maurice: He's going to bust out of this shooting slump; you can just feel it. Won that Laker's game for us.

Rice: such a confident shooter. When he hits one, the team always gets a boot.

Kenny: also a good 2nd half player. the defense is rock solid. seems quicker off his feet this year. Made Duncan spin like a top, and embarrassed Troy Murphy.

Griffin: gifted shotblocker. Keep your confidence up, and you'll be fine.

Moochie: something about him makes me think that going through slumps makes him better.

Hawkins: Better than Shandon in all facets of the game, except transition.

Cato: Finally happy, and it shows. Has actually shot better, too.

TMo: solid contributor. Also gives maximum effort each minute he plays.

    Collier: ditto to fierguard's comments

Rudy: Considering how tired Yao has seemed and commented on, how can you bring Yao up to speed at any better rate. Well done. The Dallas game 1st half was the best Rockets team basketball I can remember since probably that 3rd game against the Lakers in 99, when Pippen woke up to prevent us getting embarrassed. Much better defensive intensity and strategy. Nice use of 2-3 zone, after the 3-2 zone sucked it up early.
