as my title. I want to use "green" products as much as possible and recently my friend recommended a dishwasher crystal which claimed to be phosphate free and biodegradable. I saw those words on the product bottle and when I read ingredients, a lot of ingredients are something like: cleaning agents. Then I searched online, it has all the buzz words like the next generation, does not contain any dyes, perfumes, EDTA or NTA, phosphate free. btw, it is an American products and made here. But how can I tell if it is really what it claimed to be. And Do anyone know who right now or what agency or organization will recognize and certify a product as biodegradable? Like USDA to organic ceritfication?
Holy lurker! Seven posts in 10 years? Here's your answer, from the FTC: What reasonably short period of time means is probably subject to debate, but those are the guidelines. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/grnrule/guides980427.htm
