Anyone know what Cato is up to right now? With the money he is making and Olajuwon gone, I would hope he would take advantage of the opportunity being given him.

Probably sitting on his lazy ass thinking of a way to spend his money that he has robbed from the Rockets. Basketball is probably the last thing he is thinking about.

Has anyone ever seen Cato working out at West Side during the off season? Does he work out at all to improve his game? It's been reported that he decided not to participate in any of the summer leagues & that he didn't even go to the big man camp, that he said he was going to go to.

The summer may be his free time to use as he sees fit, but with the skill level, size, & athleticism that keeps coming up to the pros, he can't afford to be slacking off during the off season.

He needs to work on his shooting, ball handling, & defensive positioning among other things. All he would have to do, is pick one part of his game to work on in the off season(like Dream always did) & I would give him the benefit of the doubt.

For instance, he's got the size so that, if he worked on developing a nice little hook shot, he would be unstoppable. All he has to do is shoot nothing but hook shots for 2-3 hours a day all summer long. That would leave him 21 hours a day to ride around in his pink, purple (or whatever color) SUV & whatever else he wants to do.

I'm afraid that, if he's still a Rocket by next season, he's just going to be the same no heart, lethargic, pouting, a** dragging Cato that he's always been. I also don't buy the reasoning, that with Dream gone, he'll finally feel that the team is his.

After all, he's been in the league for 4 years & has shown minimal improvement in his game. With his refusal to particpate in any of the camps available in the off season, I would be amazed if he shows us anything new this next year.

    I dunno...

I had a dream that Cato was playin real well and ballin the hell outta everybody. He also looked like he added about 30 pounds of muscle or something... reminded me of a more athletic Curry. I remember thinking "ahh yes Cato has finally come to play."

Maybe this is an indication of the future....

He is practically killing himself running wind sprints and doing avid weight lifting, after doing strength drills and practicing his inside shots. In 20 minutes he will sit down and study game tape intently.

I really, really wish him and Mo had gone to Newell's big man camp.

It would be a very different season if they had.

(If cato went to big man camp, forget a different season, there would be a shift in the formation of the universe, lol)
