What is it with bench scrubs always going superstar mode on the Rockets?

    Anyone else notice this trend? Always some scrub at the end of the bench ends up torching the Rockets. Last night it was Alfarouq Aminu with 17/12 and a few blocks. On New Orleans it was this Mason guy that torched us one time we played in New Orleans. There's a whole lot more but I can't think of them since they're scrubs, but there is almost always a benchwarmer on the other team that torches us.

    Aminu has had a good season off the bench, he did the same against us last time and he is no scrub, a scrub is a guy who can't play basketball. there are not many scrubs in the NBA

    You know what he means though by scrub. Scrub relative to the other players in the NBA.

    I agree. Corey Brewer was that guy in Minnesota.

    The examples escape me now, but there is always an unlikely candidate who makes life tough on the Rockets in most games.

    Actually I think Aminu has been their best SF overall so far this season.

    This happens to every team. Most guys who average 5-6 points per game have an 18-20 point game throughout the season, to go along with some 0 point games.

    Professionals, man. THEY DO THIS. Mo Williams, for example (not a scrub, but he's not a starter or anything) dropped 52 on Indy.

    These guys can play this game.

    It probably means they did a good job on the non-scrubs and a scrub, AKA a pro bball player, came through for his team. It happens, when you actually play your scrubs. Of course, we wouldn't know about that.

    EVERY fan base says this. Its the NBA, stuff like this happens all the time. Do people truly not understand this?

    We defend the team's best players and make the rest beat us. Sadly our defense has been bad except for the first month of this season, and we can't stop the role players after trying to tie up the main guys.

    No, they don't. Most people only watch their own team, and they think that a player who averages 5 points only ever scores 5 points.

    For instance, Al-Farouq Aminu has score 17 or more points 8 times in his career.
