They just played 'Back to the Future' last night and whenever the Delorean gets up to 88mph it goes back in time.

Same thing with the Rockets when they get to 88 points. They go back in time to a few years back when they used dribble out the shot clock and take a bunch of horrible shots and not play good defense on the other end.

I know this is a coincidence but it is EERIE one at that.

Well, let's hope the Rockets play D like the #2 ranked team that they are in game 5 and that 87 is enough for the Rockets to win it.

    I have a headache...:(

man i hear ya, everytime we hit 88 we're up by 6-8 points and with the ball in our hands. then suddenly our offense gets constipated and our lead is gone just like that.

    #88

I think the rockets need to avoid getting 88 points in Game 5. If they have 86 points they should look for a 3 to get to 89 pts. Its very ironic that the dallas runs have been made when the rockets are at 88. Even McGrady mentioned it and he couldnt believe it. Any thoughts on this?

The number eight being the symbol of the infinity, 88 symbolizes the double directions of the infinity of the universe, that is to say the infinitely small and the infinitely large.

The number 88 is the numbered representation of the cross swastika - three times cranked. Symbolically, this cross represents the eternity or the cosmic Christ, and it is allotted to the number 16. And, by theosophical reduction, 8 + 8 gives 16.

The infinity symbol's origin is not entirely clear, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the number 8.
