im a ut student, but i like hollis price alot cause of the way he plays and cause he seems like a good guy. i know he was playing for the cavs in the summer league, but he didnt do very well except for a game or two where he scored 10+ points. just wondering if anyone knew whether he's been signed or if he'll end up playing for the nbdl.
Well, as an OU student I feel I've seen Hollis play enough outside of actual games to say that he's not going to make it onto anyone's team if he doesn't seriously work on his dribbling skills. I don't think he needs to be like AI or J-Dub or anything. He just needs to get rid of his propensity for losing the ball every time he dribbles into traffis. I mean, even I ripped him a couple on the outside courts up here. (And I'm an average defender. Very average. ) I think this is whats stopping him from even latching onto a team the the Steve Kerr "gunner" role. (If there's one thing Hollis can do, it's shoot) Even Steve has to handle the rock and bring it upcourt sometimes. In the NBA, I think coaches would press Hollis anytime he tried to do this. This is the reason Quannas White was our starting PG. The rest of Hollis' game is pretty solid (though he is a bit undesized), but just not enough to overcome his dearth of ballhandling abilities. That said, I think some team will pick him up eventually. He'll dribble better at some point and everyone can use a guard wth a stroke as sweet as Hollis'
Well, the loss of his shooting stroke/skill/confidence halfway through last season hurt him a lot in the eyes of scouts. Plus there's the fact that he doesn't really have an NBA body. I think if Ebi works on his physique and returns to old form, some team is bound to pick him up.
I think Ebi and Hollis along with former Sooner Aaron Mcghee are checking ticket prices for flights to Europe. That is the only place where they will be able to play basketball.
who is the best ever NBA sooner? Najera? Harvey Grant? do OU players have better success in the pros than UT players? (which admittedly is not saying much)
