    Tracy McGrady: 31 minutes, 2/7 fg, 2/4 3pt, 0/0 ft - 6 points.

I mean what is going on? 7 attempts for McGrady? Alston 15, Ron 15, Scola 9, Landry 8, Brooks 6.

Wait a minute? Isn't he our key weapon offensivly (with Yao). Isn't he ouir star who we should get the ball to?

And it is not like he is just OFF, missing every shot, can't make jumpers to save his life etc...It is the offense. Nobody looks to go to T-Mac. I ask what is his role? He is doing the same thing Barry does. He is standing on the perimeter passing the ball to Yao. Sometimes when they double Yao, we swing the ball around and he takes open 3 (which he actually makes). It is like we don't need tmac at all or what?

I understand he is not 100% but it doesn't mean he has to stand and not being in the game at all. I mean, we just don't use him. Looks like Rafer Alston took over his role, right?

I belive it may be a problem between him and coach. It is something like.

Tracy: 'Coach I wanna sit just to get back'
Adelman: 'I don't care. Just stfu and play'
    Tracy: 'Ok, you'll see'

I mean come on. Even he is not 100% it doesn't mean he shouldb be given the ball. Can it be relationship problem?

We're limiting his minutes. Seriously, what is hard to understand about this concept? He's playing, but he's not playing 48 minutes. Not a problem.

cmon pple. tmac is banged up, our teams ****ing good, and were playin the heat. do we really need to play at full strength to beat the heat? HELL NO, and we proved just that w/ tmac on the bench in the last min of the 4th quarter.

our team isnt like it used to be where we NEEDED tmac every single game cuz of his offense. we have ron, brooks, landry, scola, rafers role is a lot better since hes not relied on anymore.

our teams so daam good we can win games banged up and weve been doin that forever. once the teams healthy we cant be stopped. and if steve makes a comeback then i dunno wat the basketball gods can do.

Dumbest. Thread. Ever. Clearly, the guy is NOT healthy, and clearly the coaching staff has decided to let him be a facilitator and take a back seat in the offense while he still has the opportunity to play and get back into game shape. Is that a hard concept to understand or something??

I would suggest you go to chron.com and read what's been going on the last 4-5 days. McGrady wants to take it easy for now and let Yao and Artest be the main guys. When Shane returns, he's even considering "shutting it down".

I don't know if its physical or mental (or both), but T-Mac isn't looking to be a scorer right now. He just wants to move the ball, help a bit on the defensive boards, and take the spot up jumper if he's open. Maybe the occasional heat check jumper to keep the blood flowing.

That's why if Rockets had had a Ray Allen type of player for the last few years and a healthy year, we would have already passed the first round.

Hell, we might have to conceivably limit his minutes all season. It really doesn't matter. We've got a deep team and once Shane gets back, I think you'll see McGrady more and more effective in less time.

I doubt McGrady ever goes too far up or down from 30 mpg, but if he can have a nice 30-35 mpg a night with Battier and Artest shouldering more of the load, we should be fine.

I think we definitely need McGrady in the 4th quarter, so maybe when Battier comes back we can switch Tracy's resting cycles around to include a lot of the 3rd and not the 4th.

Let him sit for a couple of weeks. Today he was a liability on both offense and defense.

Of course, winning is the more important thing. We won and it is great. But there might be game when we will lose. I don't look at just one game. It was only an example.

Yao also only had 15 shots. This is a good thing--the shot attempts are spread out, the point scoring is spread out, six guys in double figures, the Rockets score 100+ points.

Even when T-Mac gets back he shouldn't be taking more than 15 attempts per game.
