I've been sick for a few days for the first time all year and it's infuriating. Is it just "cold and flu" season? I'm 99% sure what I have is a sinus infection which I've been playing doctor with using tetracycline that's originally for acne to fight it. That being said it is infuriating. Just wanted to complain. Carry on
I think I know. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/w4DpdU5HLmY&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/w4DpdU5HLmY&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Sounds infuriating. Personally, I would take an antibiotic unless absolutely necessary and try to let the body fight it naturally. Of course, I also take in at least 5 grams of vitamin C everyday so that could be helping my immune system. I also exercise and don't eat too unhealthy. I also try to be a useful person to others and keep a positive outlook on things. All and all, it seems to be working out pretty good. Go get an apple out of the fridge, take a walk and smile and say hi to the first person you see. Maybe you won't be so infuriated.
i had a head cold on friday all of a sudden. Woke up, nose running non-stop all day and i was just "zoned out". That night it turned to congestion and stayed that way for about 3.5 days. I was weak and tired. Never got achey and there was no fever. Sucked. Glad it's over with.
Yeah, I'm already taking tetracycline for acne though. Now I'm just using it for other things because I've got stuff to do once this is over.
If it's allergic, viral or fungal you are just wasting your Tet; but I don't think you ever really know. I've been tested to identify chronic sinus problems and at one time or another been treated for allergies, fungus and Staph (bacterial)... and I still have it. I'm infuriated. I took enough oral antibiotics to cure the plague. Most folks find they have to put up with it for two weeks and it goes away. You just treat the symptoms.
My doctor said there is a strain of Sinal Infurius making it's way around the nation. Maybe you got that.
Yup. Mine started out as me just being tired, then the muscle aches, then the full on "can't breath, loss of appetite, cold/hot sweats, can't get out of bed" part happened. It took me at least 10-14 days until it finally found its way onto someone else. Teh suck.
I'm 99% sure it's a sinus infection. It's what I always get once a year or so. That's the only thing that I ever become sick with and the various pressure, sinus pain, achy head, achy body, and congested sinuses feeling seem to confirm what I've had in the past. The good news is , tetracycline does indeed work for sinus infections. I've done research with my comrades in the pentagon and they have told me thus.
I've been at home sick the last two days with the flu and finally made it back to the office today. I gotta say, taking conference calls at home while suffering from fever-induced delirium is no fun. Oh well, at least I'm feeling better.
hell, i'd take the flu over the stomach virus i had a month ago. that lasted about 3 days. spent half my time in bed, the other half on the toilet.
