I keep hearing scant references to this term and to bloggers. I am completely in the dark about what it is? Fill me in, please.
Check out sites like www.instapundit.com and www.kausfiles.com. Also, you can make your own blog at www.blogger.com
I have a blog, not that I use it much, but I'd rather just use it as a diary/ collection of random stuff than a political forum. It seems like most of the ones I see these days are political, and are updated so often that you wonder what kind of jobs these people work at... and where you can get one of these jobs.
oh, and on some sites, you can rate each other's blogs. well, what if you don't want someone rating it... what if you just wanted a place to vent online...
It's amazing how quickly blogs have become such an important part of the net. Businesses are even encouraging their employees to start blogs to better "connect" with their clients. Funny.
My sister started a blog a long time ago, and she actually keeps up with it! I started a blog over the summer, and have trouble remembering what the damn address is, let alone have time to write in it! But when I go for weeks without talking to my sister, (who now goes to school with me), I can just read her blog and act like I was there for everything.
A girl I worked with lost her job over things she publised in her blog. So much for free speach. There are a number of documented cases of people loosing their jobs over their blogs so I never mention anything business related on my website (mostly family stuff that contains a weblog).
