One other thing, on the break he can get tunnel vision sometimes and miss wide open teammates for layups... I know how great he is at finishing and getting fouled be he needs to look for his teammates a little more on fast breaks But ya I mean the complaints are pretty minor, He's awesome. And he'll just improve his overall game... Crazy to think how young he is
DEFENSE.. I don't know what it is, but he can become an all time great if he dedicates enough time to becoming a stopper (with his strength and decent height) but no. He doesn't seem to care, a quick reach in for a steal and watch his man fly by him
Defense is his only real weakness. He just needs to be better at picking when he gambles. I think he can be above average at his best and when the team needs a turnover, I would like to see him be a real ballhawk in the same way a Dwayne Wade or Manu Ginobili would be. Those guys can make plays on the defensive side when their team needs. I would like to see James be that guy for Houston.
Definitely should add a post game, especially when the refs swallow their whistles. This will give him another weapon late in games when we are forced into halfcourt.
He can grow about 5 inches, increase his vertical by 20 inches, add 100 lbs of muscle, make every shot.
A bit of a post game would be nice, which he should be able to do with his height and strength. On the defensive end, it's just effort.
On a side note, I hope Patterson signs with another team on the off season. Kings organization can kill anyone's career. He is on the last year of his rookie contract right?
Defense, shooting. Defense for obvious reasons. Shooting because everyone can stand to shoot better, Steve Nash and Durant perhaps exceptions. Everything else I feel depends on who we bring in. If we bring in a wing player, like an Eric Gordon or a Danny Granger, then Harden needs to improve his movement off the ball. If we bring in a big, Harden needs to improve on post passes and cutting to the basket among other things that involve post offenses. But shooting and defense are things you can always work on.
James has his defensive moments. I think he can improve there, and hope he does, but right now, I'd like to see him cut down on his turnovers more than anything else. Jeremy has gotten his a hair under 3 per game, finally, and I don't see why Harden couldn't do at least that well.
He doesn't care? Because going from a 6th man, to being a superstar, being neck to neck with LeBron and Kobe in scoring, being ungodly efficient, being #2 in the NBA in assists by non point guards and top 10 in steals is not enough for one season improvement for a 23 year old?
