...and you were given these choices...

    1. Your Country

    2. Your Family

    3. Your Beliefs

    4. Your Freedom

Would you die for all four?

    2 and 4 for me

If your don't select all 4 then why support this action?

I would die for all four above. but, if you let me choose one over the other, i have to say family will always be my first choice. What's more important than family? then, again, if i don't have the freedom, how am i supposed to support my family, or even to start a family of my own. You know, what's worse, if my country is invaded, i might lose freedom, family, all together. Huh, what should i do now??!

I guess these four are so tightly interralated that you don't always have th luxury to choose one ove the other.

    :D

So you're saying you would never support any war?

If it was for freedom or if his family depended on it, or if it was about his beliefs, or if it was actually to save the country. That's not hard to understand

1, 2, 4. I would have a hard time saying #3, mostly because I don't know what I always believe in. 1, 2, and 4 I can imagine but #3 can be so many things, some which I believe strongly in and some I don't.
But no doubt for my family, freedom or country would be worth it.

Sorry, not beliefs, or to save the country, but the point I was making is that a war can be about all of these.

I would die if I thought it would save a life. That's about all I can think of. But I would not die if I knew that everyone was going to die with me. For example. If I saw that my whole family was about to have a daisy cutter dropped on them, and there was absolutely no shot to save them, I would probably let them geblow up and suffer the rest of my life. It would not be an easy decision. But that's what I would do. I'd put my faith in my life at that point. and I'd hope that my existence would save more lives. Tough call tho'.

    I concur.

    1. Family

    2. Freedom

    3. Country

Although I view 2 and 3 as very similar. The reason I have so many freedoms is because I live in the US. So if you would die for your freedoms, wouldn't you die for your country.

Example: Someone invading the US, if you don't die for your country you would probably lose your freedom.

Doesn't your beliefs also consist of your beliefs on the country (its political structure, constitution, etc) and your belief in freedom?

beliefs sound awful similar to values, but sometimes I throw my values away after testing them. If they don't stand up as I get older I throw them out and make new ones. OI think values and beliefs change. So it's a little more difficult.

I would die for anything. I was driving my VW bus down the road yesterday and two of those little promiscuous black bugs were at the apex of sexual bug pleasure when I interrupted their lovemaking by smashing into them. Poor harmless little guys. I felt so guilty I killed myself. I am posting from heaven.

    Sincerely,

    Heavenly Tree Hugger

Actually it's easy to say what you think you would die for but when it comes time to make that decision noone really knows what they would do. I KNOW I would die for my family. I think I would die for the rest. I hope I would.

I'm saying that I wouldn't DIE for this one.

God bless the soldiers and their families, whatever they believe.

Man, Chance, too bad. That hippy chick, (the one covered in sap), told me at a rally today that she was really starting to like the new you. In fact, she was playing some Pull Tab songs on her mandatory, hippy-issue, 5-string hippy guitar (one string broken).

i do not know if i would die for my freedom, i have always be a free man, so i do not know how it is to lose my freedom.( if i wil ever go to jail i wil also lose my freedom and then i think i would not die for it).

Don't those bugs die anyway after mating and laying their eggs? I'm not sure, a tree huger would probably know.

I'm still confused, yet not surprised that the anti war people have caused the "hatred of tree huggers" index to rise lately.

    1, 2, and 4 definitely.

It would depend on the particular belief as far as #3 goes. I would not die for my belief that aliens likely exist. I would die for my belief that a woman should not be raped. It just depends.
