Good evening Clutchfans! Just wanted to ask you guys for your opinion on what you think the Rockets move should be should Terrance Williams break out into a star player?? Really just hypothetically saying what if he finally figures everything out and unleashes his potential. Do you think this may open up for a potential free agent star player?? Also should this happen would a lineup of Lowry Twill Morris Patterson/Scola Dalembert with Lee, Martin, and Bud coming off the bench be a good playoff worthy lineup? What do you guys think will happen?
Buy him proactive then. I heard it works for a lot of people. I don't get acne anymore, so I'm not an expert in this.
He's still far off though I'm optimistic considering he seems to have a sincere, good attitude. From what I've seen in the pre-season, his spacing isn't there, he has no shot, and, for all its been hyped, his penetration's not that good, though, still better than Budinger's. If he pans out, Martin and Bud are expendable.
I've seen this sentiment expressed frequently on this board, but I don't get it. T-Will can play the 2 without a problem. He hasn't played there because of Martin and Lee - not because he is locked into playing the 3.
It makes no sense. Moving him to the 2 is perfect because you have the added benefit of a small forward grabbing boards instead of a c.lee or k.martin.
Twill has the quickness to guard 2s and the strength to guard 3s. He's like Iggy in that he can play the 2 or the 3.
If Williams breaks out, I don't think he'll break out as a star this year. He may make a big jump, but I think there is little to no precedent of someone going from his averages to star. I just hope he's a productive player who catches fire every once in a while.
T-Will and Hill are already showing signs of breaking out. If they both do so this season, then contention awaits. Because our bench would damn near equal the output of the starters. Which, btw, would be the answer to our Jason Terry/ Manu Ginobili problems.
Well, he will average double figure scoring and high rebound and assists numbers. Is that what you are talking about?
ITT: Nobody talks about the actual topic of the thread Jesus people. It's called a hypothetical. He didn't ask if you thought he WOULD be an allstar. He asked IF he does turn out to be one what would the Rockets do. I say it means a good run in the playoffs for this to happen and I say that makes us a VERY good candidate to improve in free agency after that. If Terrance can develop into an allstar caliber player this year then he would be the kind of allstar player other allstars would love to play with. He is a great passer and facilitator and can play off the ball or with the ball well.
