Nobody has question the question, so I will. What if we get into the WC semifinals, WC Finals, or NBA finals or Win it all. What would be our thoughts then? Would you want to trade Yao for another center and high draft pick? Our bring Yao back and double up with Tmac.
Depends on what DD, we got out of the first round without our main dude and possibly get to WC Finals.
If it ever came to that, then it means T-Mac/Yao is not a good 1-2 punch. If it ain't broken, don't fix it...or at least sell the spare parts .
trade the best center in the league??!!...yeah thats a tough one.... plus, next year its mcgrady's turn to get hurt for 4 months, so we will need Yao..
If we won the championship this year without Yao, it would be even sweeter than 1995. It would be an NBA story for the ages! Whatever happens, we should bring Yao back.
Dude, That's not gonna happen... Just give me ONE team winning the NBA Champion without a dominant big man. I would be very happy if we could get passed the 2nd round.
if we win the title I say trade him. declare t-mac the GOAT, Dikembe will be full-time starter next year. Adelman is the Greatest coach of all time. Gerald Green is the greatest dunker of all time.
Yao will not be a Rocket the day he retires! You can count on it. The Rockets will not trade him and if Yao is done he will retire. Now if they win, then look out, the NBA Champs will add an Allstar center, currently the best center in the NBA to it's championship roster. What more can anyone want. Can you even imagine that? It's like adding a Paul Gasol (and Yao is better) and it cost NOTHING, no expiring, no draft picks, no players nothing. Now that's cup half full baby. But this is a dream better left for another day.
Get a such straight win 'cause the Rockets could make a great team play but doesnt mean we dont need someone anymore. Yao's one of the best BIG guys in the league and I dont believe both Adelman and Rockets will try to trade a man like this
if we did that then it would be the greatest nba story ever and we would be adding yao to a championship squad. how is that even a problem?
not interested in thinking about Yao leaving. it will be tmac before yao so i guess no one would get traded in this scenario
If the right deal is on the table, you take it. And that's for anybody. That being said, Yao's never going anywhere because it would be a PR and a financial disaster. He makes you the most popular basketball team in the world.
I say you and some members have been learning conditional sentences since almost every second topic is about " what if or if rockets". Concentrate on present, stupid question. Rockets absolutely have no chance at NBA championship, and I'm optimistic.
