You should probably post a suggestion as to how the Rockets were to move up to #3... Otherwise, this thread should probably be moved...
given a choice i'd go with williams he seems to me to be by far the best pg in the draft. yes i know paul is a better scorer and all, but as far as controlling tempo, running the offense and making the right decisions give me deron. i like green but why go with someone who can be the next t-mac when we already have the real deal?
Well if we could get the 3 (in my dreams) then I would send it to Charlotte for the 5 and 13. Then I would hope that NO took G Green so that I could grab D Williams with the 5 and that C Taft slipped to 13. I would then like to aquire either a High to mid 2nd rounder to grab the best available player to put on the wing. R Gomez, J Hodge or preferrably F Garcia. Sign a 4 and a 2/3... D Williams, James Sura, Barry, FA T Mac, F Garcia FA, Howard, C Taft Yao, Mutombo
http://www3.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=2417313 Wetherspoon Howard Wesley Ward 1st this yr 2nd in 06 or 07 or etc... for Derek Anderson Theo Ratliff 1st this yr... Derek Anderson will replace Wesley nicely and plus he can play some point too, Weatherspoon and Ward are thrown in b/c of there expiring salaries....only thing we give up is Howard really...but taking on Ratliff's contract is tuff, but he's a guy JVG will like, not a great rebounder, but decent and he blocks alot of shots...he'll prob play as a back pf/c ...and plus, Yao will have another big body to train w/ everyday... the suggestion of trading w/ charlote is a good idea, i'm pretty sure they would do it....#3 + a 2nd from another yr for there $5 and $13. then I would draft Green and Felton.... thats going off of www.nbadraft.net's predictions....
I highly doubt we will move that high in the draft, but if somehow we did, to me it is a throw up between Chris Paul and Deron Williams, either one I would be happy with. I dont see us moving up that high, but I wouldnt be surprised if we moved up some. I may be the only one here, but I love Sean May's game, and if we move up I think it should be to about 14-18 for him or Chris Taft, if all the PG's are gone. But thats just me.
Wetherspoon Howard Wesley Ward 1st this yr 2nd in 06 or 07 or etc... for Derek Anderson Theo Ratliff 1st this yr... if that happened... i would be very happy person. we would for sure go places.. deron williams is the best point guard for the rockets IMO. he can play D and controls the ball very well. but i may be bias since im a big illini fan. also picking up ratliff would be good for our system... he wont have to score... just play some mean defense. however, if we were able to trade our picks to the bobcats that would be amazing as well... it would easily create more depth. williams could even fall to the 5th pick and then get warrick with the 13th pick. but i seriously doubt any of this will happen. but hey... its nice to think about.
Besides, if Boston can offer Paul Pierce for the #3 and NVE (Ainge denies it, but someone is still feeding the rumor mill on this one, so take it with the grain of salt), how will we ever get involved?
Seriously doubt?! It WON'T happen anywhere except for on your home video gaming console. This is where I really start to hate that it's the offseason.
There is so much talent in this year's draft and there are so many teams that would like to move down so they can take a developmental player they can stash in Europe for a year or two. We should be be able to move up significantly, maybe to 15 or better, but it won't happen until the day of the draft when the teams in the 10 -15 see who is gone and who is falling. Be sure to book you a vacation day for June 28th, it's going to be the best draft to watch in a long time. The cba lockout won't happen till July, right?
I think it actually expires June 30th and if there is no deal, then the lockout would begin on July 1st.
Exactly. If either of those two think thateither of those trades will happen, they need to step away from NBA Live for a head examination.
What if the Rockets moved up to # 3 in the draft? Hmmm.... I don't know. I promise I'll start thinking about it though, just as soon as I'm done pondering this question: what if I moved into the same economic bracket as Bill Gates?
