I know that it's a stretch but I am sure that if we unloaded both Kenny Thomas and Mooch as much as I love those two and the #15 pick we could get Amare. It's a whole lot to give up but with Mo Taylor coming back We won't need this many Power Forwards anyway. So Amare as a project player would not be bad. As far as back up point guards that could be found in the 2nd round or in the form of a cheap veteran, or CBAer like Mooch.

I've never seen or heard of "Qintel", but there's this one JuCo guy that's really good. Qyntel Woods or something...

har de har, vj23k. Give the guy a break.

Personally jev, I'd rather not draft both Amare and Qyntel unless the Rockets staff are really high on both of them. I think they might be great players in time, but I don't think the Rockets have the luxury of gambling and waiting for them to develop. Especially after reading the Kwame Brown article in the Dish forum, I'm not high on drafting young players with little organized ball experience.

It was a stretch for the Rocks to take EG and he was a 1 year star at a major college. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to draft a HS'er and a JUCO player both in the 1st round. Especially if it involves losing core players like Mooch or KT.

If the Rockets are going to trade to draft earlier, it's to get Ming. Ming is the only reason they would give up Mooch and/or KT. And there are alot of other teams with much more to offer.

With Maurice Taylor being back and having a long term contract I think that Kenny Thomas won't get resigned when his time comes anyway. And he is not a great rebounder nor is Taylor. Those players come at a premium so why not develop one like Amare. Mooch is valuable, but they could find a CBAer remember the good ole Mario Elie and Chucky Brown days? That's what we did to get guys like Barkley. So why not stock pile a stable of special players like amare as far as Qyntel he will be atleast an upgrade to what we have now. And Rice can fill in for the time being along with Morris, who by the way is getting an unfair lack of opportunities. I do agree that Ming would be great as an addition, but I admit that I know that it ain't going to happen. So think about this in two years from now for a squad Francis, Mobley, Woods, Griffin, & Amare. Isn't that atleast alittle appealing to some of you. And for now you can have Francis Mobley, Rice Taylor, & Cato who are all under lengthy contracts any way. We're not contenders now any way why not use the young guys for depth?

    Moving KT and Mooch
for rookies is ridiculous and a major step BACKWARDS

Rudy does not *HAVE* time to take on 2 more projects
RUDY has to make the playoffs next yr

If not. . EVEN I WILL SCREAM FOR HIS HEAD!!
