If we can get a rebounding, shotblocking, with some offense SF (if theres such a player) maybe Tmac can go back to SG.

Or if we can get a real good and athletic SG like Joe Johnson we should be okay too. Or even try to trade for Mike Miller.

T-Mac thrived at SF on both offense and defense.

Why would you want to move him back to SG?

Guys I like Tmac staying at the three and getting James Jones at the two athletic can hit the three and can be attained for cheap because he is under a lot of temans radar

have you seen the list of FA's that we could use? and the word is that everyone wants to play for us.

why won't we be able to get a PF through free agency or the draft?

If we can't get a 1 or a 4, maybe we could trade some power dancers for some of sac-town's girls. Just don't trade the two Asian chicks, that's all I ask.

It is really funny to see some of these folks constantly wanting to move him back to the 2...he is playing the 3 for a reason folks....he and VG decided it woul dbe better for him to play that position..

why in the hell should they change it when it worked so well this year?

what position was he playing when he won two scoring titles and had FG% better than 45%

I think he was put in SF this year more from a necessity because we didn't really have a agile SF. But if we get a good SF, I think Tmac can move back to SG. Doesn't Tmac get more tired in SF than SG?

but if JVG and Tmac still thinks he should remain in SF then at least we should get a good SF to backup Tmac so he won't playing more than 40 minutes a game

They moved him to SF because he doesn't have to work as hard guarding SFs than if he was guarding quicker SGs.

well that depends on who the opp is.. like for dallas, it will probably easier for Tmac to guard Finley or Stack than guard Josh Ho or Dirk.

and again we had no SF to backup Tmac that's why he was real tired.. If he was at SG, he can have backup or he can stay at SF as long as he has decent backup..

I think if we can have someone who can switch with Tmac between SG anf SF that will be great..

T-Mac had to guard Dirk because we had no one else besides Ryan Bowen who could do that.

Edit: I see what you are saying now. If we had someone we could put on Dirk we could have put T-Mac on Stack and he wouldn't have gone off the way he did against Wesley. Getting another swingman that can play in the rotation would be nice.

I don't think it matters whether he plays SF or SG. He can obviously excel at both. He's just an excellent wing player. (heck he could probably be a top 5 PG if forced to play that position).

Also - getting a new starting SF does not mean that TMac will be on the court all the time with the new guy - he will be playing whatever position the situation warrants.

I think this kind of versatility is a good thing. The Rox should just get the best wing player available. PF or PG are more pressing needs though.

Tmac isnt going back to SG. JVG doesnt want Tmac guarding the quicker 2s. He wants Tmac to conserve his energy against slower SFs.

Or getting an ATHLETIC PF (someone with size that can guard Dirk or Marion) and actually be an offensive threat (something Bowen wasnt). We could use another swingman, but I think our main focus should be a athletic PF (Swift, Chandler, Marshall, Anderson, Abdir-Rahim). Thats really what gave us problems in the Dallas series. Because, if we had an athletic PF, McGrady would have not been on Dirk, but probably on Finley/Stackhouse.

But we could definitely use a TALLER SG or SF.
