mavs are doing good rite now and is currently the 7th seed tied with NOLA they have chance in moving up to 6th we are the 3rd seed and we have a probabilty face them who do u think will win? if we do face them stern better not screw it up for us . again
I would rather get a new rival instead of an old foe that used to kill us in the past 4 years. a new opponent would be more ideal for us IMHO.

Dallas doesn't cause us matchup problems. Kidd isn't going to post 30 a game on Brooks (although I imagine they might try and post him up and we'll have to do something about it). Battier and Artest will be able to contain Howard. Dirk will be Dirk, but he's not going to post 30 a game on Scola. Although Scola isn't going to shut him down either. Fortunately we can go small and put Artest on him during some stretches. Damp is a perfect match for Yao because now Yao doesn't have to play defense. Meanwhile... Scola can make Dirk play defense.
I agree with those who said that it is possible, and likely, but will not be easy. Anytime you have that trio -- Nowitzki, Howard, Terry -- you can't be too naive. Dirk is a proven veteran that can shoot the lights out against ANY team in the league. He scares me, very much. But I think the fact that their PG, Kidd, is not an offensive threat is something we can take a breather on. Of course, he can also drain 10 3's in a game. Yao is the way in this series...or any other for that matter. Preference: Hornets, Blazers, Mavericks, Nuggets, Spurs, Jazz, Lakers In that order and if you haven't notice, it's arranged mostly by size.
agreed, but the mavs are not that stupid to snatch the seed which has already been booked by the Jazz. however, I don't fear the Jazz, nor do any other player on the rockets team.
