well, if the rockets somehow move to the east then we wouldn't have to worry about answering the rest of your questions.
No, even more dramatic action is necessary. Disband the United States into 50 independent nations. Because, clearly, it isn't working.
Rockets will make the playoffs this season and a trade will be done but I am not sure if it will be a blockbuster trade.
Making or missing the playoffs, they are same to me. They are not a Championship caliber team. What is the difference between missing the playoffs and getting kicked out of the first round? Missing the playoffs may be even better because it owns you one more lottery pick. Yao and T-Mac, these two alone can't get things done. They proved over and over again they are losers.
The question is not *if* the Rockets do not make the playoffs but *when* the Rockets do not make the playoffs. I say they are eliminated with 8 games to go.
It isa false hope to expect the rockets to make the playoffs! In any case who would want to live through the shame of being knocked out in the first round once again? I would rather the team surprise me with a couple of trades and a new head coach
Obviously there will be major changes to the team but lets not start to think like that because hopefully they will turn it around and get something done this season
i have a feeling that were gonna keep sucking until all star break. after that. we'll do wht denver did a few years ago
if we do somehow miss the playoffs (which i doubt), then we should just blow the team up. t-mac or yao has to go, or maybe both. we've tried the t-mac and yao thing for four years and came up with nothing. there defintely needs to be a change
Remember that commercial were T-Mac has a giant mob of people following him to Toyota Center? Well.....they'll all start chasing him out town.
Hmmm... who would I want in the lottery? I'd love to have Beasley. No thanks to Mayo. That guy is a punk and a ball hog. I'd love to have D.J. Augustin.
I'm beginning to believe that the way the rules are structured (no illegal D on zones but defensive and offensive 3-second violations) the NBA is moving more to the European style of play, and all traditional centers--not just Yao, but him most especially--are paying the price for it. Morey may know it, but he also knows that there is no chance in hell that Yao will be dealt thanks to his "other" assets to the team, or to Les more exactly. So who knows how many opportunities we will have to make noise in the playoffs from here on, but for as long as the Yao-era lasts, our chances for a championship? Slim at best. But hey, that only makes us one of 25 other teams in the league.
If the Rockets don't make the playoffs, it's probably time to consider starting over. It won't be a long rebuild, though. A high 2008 draft pick, Brooks, and Rudy Gay could be a nice foundation to build from. In all seriousness, if the Rockets fail to make the playoffs, and injuries aren't a factor, then RA should be fired. I think it's far more likely that the Rockets will fail to advance to the second round.
