Kobe wants out and it's plausible that Jackson would want out to. Let say, hypothetically, PJ is now available, should we make a run at him, even with Adelman under contract? Personally, I would fire Adelman right now and get Jackson. Jackson is that much better and proven.

^ phil was the one who pushed kobe over the edge after their convo. phil said lakers told him it's a long-term thing, while to kobe it's a short-term rebuild.

looks like phil coudl be gone too. but he's not gonna leave LA. prollie retire. he has a gf named jeanie buss.

Yeah, as if the Rockets didn't already look bad with the way they ran Van Gundy out of town. Imagine running Adelman BEFORE he's even coached a game.

I love Phil Jackson for me he's the best coach in the NBA. But in my opinion this becomes to be Lakers' not Rockets' forum. Maybe weshould bring Lamar too?

His offense is so stagnet that the Rockets haven't scored a point since he's been hired!

No thanks. That he would leave after the departure of his sugar-daddy would just be more confirmation of what a *****-*** mercenary he is.

If Vspan isn't the starter by the time training camp begins 97% of people here are gonna call for Adelman's head.

Phil would only come here if Les Alexander has a daughter that he can play with... :D

Phil didn't bring lakers out the first round either. Why do you think his better than JVG? When Phil won Championships he had players named MJ SP, DR, Shaq and KB. They can easily win 65+ in regular season. In first year of MJ retirement, Bulls won 55 games, 3rd seed in eastern, almost went to final. They had talents that current rockets never closed to.

    F***, F***, F***, bad timing, bad timing.

Now it is the first time I wish JVG hasn't been fired.

So Rox could fire him now and hire Phil Jackson. :D

I just don't buy it. I've never bought into the idea that Phil Jackson is the greatest coach idea. Yeah, he's got a ton of rings, but you know what he always had the most dominant two-some in the leauge and a great supporting case. He had Jordan and Pippen and then great supporting players like Cartwright, Longley, Kucok, Rodman, and Kerr. He's be a chump if he DIDN'T win with that team! Then he won three with Shaq and Kobe, but he also had Horry, Fox, Russel, and Fisher on that team!

We've got a GREAT duo in Yao and McGrady, but we don't have the support either of those teams did. Until I see PJ either build a team (instead of being handed one like he always does) or win without having the most dominant player in the leauge, a superstar second fiddle, and a great supporting cast I'll never believe he's anything but a guy the rides the coattails of others who came before him.

    Fire Adelman. Hire Phil.

This is the only conclusion your post can get.
