If Miller decides he wants to play with Boston or another team for some reason, who do we go after then to fill that backup center spot?

Some unrestricted free agents that are still available:

.Joel Anthony- 6'9" but can block shots a very high rate. led the league with the highest shot blocking percentage til McGee got the starting job in DC.

.Etan Thomas- 6'10" Big Body. production last season dropped but he's a smart guy that can grab boards and get blocks.

.DJ Mbenga aka MbangOn- most pple here know his game so don't have to say anything here

.Louis Admundson- he's was a high energy guy of the bench for the Suns last season. very good offensive rebounder (not so much very defensively) but can play defense and block shots as well. More of a PF but maybe can play the 5? Heck... had a 6'6" guy last season there..

.Joel Prybilla*- I believe he has an early termination option. He is the best choice over all the other free agent Centers including Miller IMO. Could we maybe persuade him into taking that ETO and joining with us where he'll have much more playing time than in Portland?

What could be other FA centers or options we could go after?

I think the Rox need to clear some space on the roster for a big...send Jeffries and Battier and bring in Biedrens or another quality center here.

We just have too many good players and not enough minute to go around, especially at the SF spot.

Shaquille O'Neal should be the next option

then Steven Hunter, Jamaal Magloire, Kurt Thomas, Tony Battie, Fabricio Oberto......????? Not a lot of options left.

Although i have a good feeling that we will get Brad, Biedrins would be an excellent choice. I think it would take one of our young guns to get a deal done. Maybe Jeffries and Hill for Biedrins.

hell no to Shaq! Imagine him in a Rick Adelman offense.

Either sign Miller for cheap or stand pat. I think management is really high on Hill.

Pryzbilla is under contract and will not opt out. It's likely he won't play this year and it's possible he will never play again.

aren't there rumors of Shaq going to Atlanta for Williams. He would be nice to have but I don't think he wants to come here and Biedrins is a good option too but there's no word of him in being on the trade market.

Pryzbilla would prolly be our best option AFTER bmill because i think Miller has that mid range jumper and is one of the best passing centers in the game. But Pryz is a great fit on our team because he can get in and get dirty in the paint, but man theres something about him i just dont like.. everytime we play them he always gives yao those dirty looks.. dont think he likes yao much, which means i automatically just dont have respect for him. Good fit on the court, but maybe not in the locker room.. idk just never really liked him..

    And MBenga?? Cmon Maayyaann

admunson was nice coming off the bench for phoenix. he's active.

but the rockets really need a defensive big down low. How about Earl Barron?

I would be happy with that. he didn't have his best season last year but when healthy Biedrins is a top 50 player in the NBA.

etan thomas is nice. a bit erratic, but a very decent backup. and he's younger than everyone else on the poll.
