What if Lin decided to play football instead of basketball?

    We all know Lin is one of the fastest players in the NBA. At 6 ft. 3 in. and 200 pounds, his profile fits that of a wide receiver. Andre Johnson is the same height but 30 pounds heavier. AJ Green is only a inch taller and 7 pounds heavier. I'm sure that Lin could bulk up some more but what will that do to his quickness and speed?

    We have seen that basketball players do damage in football, seemingly mediocre basketball athletes look like freaks of nature when placed on the football field. Just look at Jimmy Graham and Antonio Gates. Basketball players are way more athletic than most football players.

    Since Lin clocks in as one of the more athletic point guards in the league, I'd say he would have a strong shot at being a very good athlete for being a wide receiver.

    Another position could be QB. Lin is clearly a smart guy coming from Harvard. He has good height and his quickness/speed could factor into making him a mobile QB and with his smarts he will make some good decisions. Questionable variable is his arm strength.

    about 68% sure you're trolling, yes only 68%, but justin gatlin, doping gold medal winner tried his hand at the nfl and bombed, transition isn't as easy as people think, although down here we have an athlete cause Israel Folau and he seems to move pretty easily through the different football's we have here, very similar albeit.

    Lin is fast... but not football fast. A lot of those guys in football, especially at positions like wide receiver, are track athletes. But football is their main sport.

    They are ridiculously fast.

    And they aren't just fast, they are incredibly athletic overall.

    Lin doesn't have the same level of athleticism. I mean, we see that at the PG position. He's not the most athletic.

    Guys like Russell Westbrook are the norm in football at the skill positions.

    People don't realize how athletic football players are. I used to play pick-up with some of the Texas football players, and most of them could dunk during games. Even the fat ones.

    NBA players have the most freaks of nature like Dream, Lebron and Shaq, but Lin is average athletically.
