And instead retires? What do the NBA rules say? Obviously he couldn't unretire to play here again.... Would Boki be back? What would happen?
Trade would be rescinded. Think Robert Horry coming back in the Sean Elliot deal. Or New Orleans could wave the physical and make the trade happen anyway. DD
DD, Wasn't that becasue Ellioit did not pass the physical. In this case JJ is healthy, so I am asking the same question on what would happen. T_Man
we would be ****ed. See tonights game? Expect more of that. over and over and over. We are in really bad shape right now. We have 1 point guard playing with 1 knee. Sura looked really hurt tonight, especially on D. We just lost our starting sf. We have Mo who looks like he's messing up on purpose, for what, we can only guess. We have a shooting guard that's been with the team for 2 games, and is asked to play point. All these happening while drama unfolds with JJ not reporting. How da **** is the team suppose to concentrate on winning. The next couple of days are going to be real interesting.
Right, but then they would get Boki & we'd get Wesley and JJ would have to stay retired right? JJ couldn't then "unretire?" Otherwise wouldn't every disgruntled traded player pull this trick just to stay on their old team?
If MoT is just throwing bricks b/c he doesn't give a ****, then we are f'd. A.) He's screwing us. B.) He's screwing his trade value. I would hope he is more professional than that...
I might be looking too much into it, but it looked to me Mo was messing up on purpose. -One time when Yao had great position, he throws the ball real far behind Yao. Turnover. It was not in Yao's direction of motion. You can't explain that. -When Yao had position, Mo takes a jumper. short by a lot. -Before that shot, he shot at least 3 other times, each time the shot is short. You just don't short arm the shot the whole game. -On defense, he played horrible. He usually plays bad D, but tonight, he was horrible. Screw soap opera, we have a reality show going on in Houston.
I hope JJ never reports to the physical. This is a bad trade...and let's ask ourselves why. because van dummy can control everyone on the team but Boki? because Boki wanted to help the team? Van Gumby couldn't get what he wanted so he has to trade the only guy with enough heart to speak up and speak out. How professional is that? Mo has a guaranteed contract so Im sure he is not interested in playing well this season...maybe next year when JVG is canned. Why wouldn't he wreck his trade value? I bet half the mfers on the team are unhappy about where they are playing and really don't give a dam anymore. Why try when your coach is a complete tool!
I've been thinking this for awhile watching MoT. I don't really see it in the short arm shots as much as the failures to get the ball to Yao in the right places and the total lack of effort on the defensive end and the glass. I was watching him supposedly D up and it sure looked to me like he was just going through the motions with no real intention of even attempting to stop anybody. I almost laughed when Worrell screamed into the mic that MoT had made a sensational block on somebody who was driving the lane on him like he wasn't even there.
This would not help the situation a bit. Unless you completely give up on the season already. We are 1 game behind the 8th seed.
It all depends on what the NO wants. If they really want JJ, then the deal is off, JJ will be forced to retire. If they are really interested in Boki, then they might waive JJ's physical, hold his right when he remain retired.
I've always liked JJ. But right now, he's being a little puta. Yeah we traded him to the worst team, but this is business. He's been traded 12 times, he understands this. If Mo is playing to lose, then **** him too.
I second everything you wrote. The game tonight was the first I noticed Taylor seeming not to try at all. I saw him actually just stand there and watched as a Buck grabbed a rebound no more than 2 feet from him. No jumping, no reaching for the ball, hell he didn't even try to at least box out. I think he wants out of here and trying to screw over JVG in the process. Either that, or he knows of a deal that he will be in soon (hope).
wow that's a lot of y'all saying that about Mo... Mo scored tonight iddn't he lol. I'll watch it again..I really hope Mo's gone.
I only wish a truck run over MoT and relieve us from such a burden. I wouldn't wish something so horrible if his performance were any better.
its more simple than that - yes, I agree that he doesn't care - but I also think that he simply will never be as good as he was his third year in the league
Personally, I hope the trade falls through. It might speed along changes in management or the coaching staff which are sorely needed. JJ is a professional, and will still play hard for us, especially when the current regime is ousted. Horry was more of a prima donna, and yet he still played hard after his trade fell through. Also, don't underestimate the possibility of JVG quitting again, after the players quit on him.
