Would it ruin the game or just make it that much more epic when players hit from half-court or further? Part of me thinks 'heck yah, it's a lot further', but another part of me thinks of how gimmicky it would be, and annoying that guys would be hoisting it on purpose. What do y'all think?
And if you do it with back to the basket, it's 6 points. Which begs the question, would you use a roster spot on Clutch the Bear. Another thing, create a mid-range arc, and if the players calls Swish before shooting, it's worth 3 pts.
Heypartner, but what if your eyes are closed and you call bank shot? Could that give you an extra point? Or perhaps we could give you 3.5 points. That would me it more interesting, 1/2 point wins and losses.
How about, if you make both your FTs blind-folded, extra point. And if you bounce the ball into the basket on FGAs, extra point. And on inbounds plays under the basket, the inbounder can attempt an over the basket shot. Any FGM with more than 10 passes prior, extra point And white guys get an extra point for dunks. Every consecutive 5 minutes you play with 5 white guys on the court, you get a free 3pt attempt
They should have a "Gamebreaker" meter which when used the team can earn more points and takes away from the opposing team's points.
How about a "Fan Meter" to reward the 6th man? Whenever the crowd reach decibels above a certain level, they throw out a two more balls for multi-ball play and the possession continues as long as the crowd maintains that level
Voted no, but if it were 4 points, it wouldn't change anything, just make teams down 4 try to shoot from halfcourt instead of get a quick 2 I guess.
Kind of a cool idea but but I would love it more if they took a pointboff for excessive use of the "hack-a however" strategy. After every two intentional hack a Dwight or jordan or capella, the team hacking loses a point or two.
Missed shots should subtract points from the team. Also when a team goes on a 10-0 run, they get a 1-minute hyperdrive mode which lets them play with an additional man. And whenever someone hits a half court shot, all play is forced to stop and disco lights turn on and everyone is required to dance on the court for 30 seconds.
