What if Bush doesn't come out(he is taking his time declaring for the draft.)?

Just hypothetical, but USC did lose the national championship and he might want to come back to school to try and win with sanchez as QB. If this happens do you think we should trade the pick, take Young, or what? Give me your opinions. NOT saying this is going to happen, but he is taking his time declaring for the draft.

I'm pretty sure that Bush is going to declare, he's just biding his time.

But if he ends up not declaring, this just makes the decision that much eaiser.

    1. Draft Vince #1
    2. Trade Carr for 2nd Round Pick
    3. Draft OL with your 2 2nd round picks
    4. Use your 3rd on a TE

    he's coming out, don't worry.

and if you trade carr, you better get more than 2nd round pick. i bet you can still get a #1 for him. it won't be anywhere in the top 15 but you can still get a mid-late first rounder for carr. you can't just settle for a #2 for a guy you drafted #1 overall and is a very talented player.

Yeah, we drafted him #1 overall 4 years ago and 400 sacks later I think he's not the same guy that we drafted. So I would be delighted if we could get a 2nd round pick for him. Especially if it's from Oakland, it'll be a high 2nd.

This is David "hasn't done jack in 4 years" Carr you're talking about right? Carr has been ruined by this team and he will never live up to the potential he once had. Might as well start over with a clean slate and Vince Young.

i agree, but david carr can still be a very good player if he has a half way decent offensive line.

and as mobile as vince is, he isn't going to get this team much further without a better line either. the texans need to get this line better before they go off and possibly ruin another talented qb.

Bush better come out. I think Vince needs at least 1 years worth of development, without the risk of injury.

I still think we'll draft Bush and Young will be McNair's replacement in Tenn.

    At least I hope.

Bush's press conference is supposedly scheduled for tomorrow. We'll have to wait and see if that's right.

Care to make a sig bet on it? If we end up trading Carr this offseason (which looks very doubtful at this point anways) and we get more than a 2nd round pick, then you can do whatever you want with my sig until football season starts. If it's a 2nd rounder or less, I get yours. Deal? :)

If no one last offseason would trade for Edgerrin James or Shaun Alexander, what makes you think that people would trade a 1st for Carr? We would be EXTREMELY lucky to get a second round pick for Carr. My gut feeling tells me we'd get a third and a player. Just look at what happened in the TO/49ers/Eagles/Ravens saga from last season.

man, i'd be in on that bet too. theres no waaaaaaay anybody would give up a 2nd round pick for carr. picks in the nfl draft are like gold. you dont trade them unless you are sure you are gonna get somebody that will be effective.

How about taking back salary from the Saints to get them to give up their #1 for Carr? They've got Brooks who apparently isn't in their plans. We could take Brooks off their hands along with their #1 in exchange for Carr, a third this year, and a first next year. Wouldn't they be tempted by that??

    NO.

We are not getting the Saints 1st round pick even if we traded them Yao Ming, Tmac, and Earl Campbell. It AINT HAPPENING!

For the people who think Carr is worth so much, remember that Travis Henry was being offered up last offseason for a third round draft pick and only the Titans gave that up and Henry went to college at Tennessee. Jacksonville was looking to give up a conditional pick. Henry had 2 back-to-back seasons of over 1350 yards rushing. Draft picks in the NFL are valued much higher than in other sports. Teams are always looking for more picks. Teams prefer to trade picks for other picks.
