What I love about Yao tonight The big man is talking to the refs after EVERY play. Not complaining but definitely speaking up after every play that is even borderlined. And you have to admit, the refs were good to us tonight. I think it's all part of Yao's master plan, first few years in the league, takes the bad calls quitely, gets the image of a humble player. Then when he starts to have both cred and rep, use that image to his advantage
I thought the refs didn't officiate him well this game. In a few plays, you could see he was literally smothered without a call.
This is better then how they usually officiate Yao. Overall I thought the officiating was much better than the usual crap they gave us. Can you really complain about 38 fta?
It's also funny how the TNT camera crews were focusing on Yao's bleeding late in the game yet the broadcasters just ignored it for like 5 secs and talked about some other stuff.
Yep... the camera was focusing on it for like 5 secs. Of course the TNT guys didn't even bother talking about it even tho it was on the screen for so long.
I am sorry to say I am not satisfied yao's performance tonight. missed a few layups and shootings. The most important thing is he didn't show us his ambition to win this game.
I am really disappointed by Yao's performance in this series so far. His field goal percentage was just horrible!
I loved yao's game. dont look at the horrid shooting. he's defensive recovery defense and just he's defense in general was great. he made Boozer make some downright insane and impossible shots. i cant see how boozer can play like this for 5 or even 6 games. yao's game was great. loved the big fellas game.
Yao made a sick alley oop in this game Was stellar from the FT line as usual His FGs will come back to him, seriously, I don't see how he isn't going to go off for a 40 point game in one of these games.
When defense is allowed to be that physical in the paint, notbody excpet a hot hand jump shooter can have good field goal percentage.
I think that's my biggest gripe with Yao too. His tendency to dunk has been steadily decreasing for some inexplicable reason. When he collected that offensive rebound, it would've been nice to see him smash it down.
remember Dream used to do that all the time? i mean hed take them to the side before the game, show his moves to make sure they wouldnt get it wrong, and talk to them throughout the games as well. im pretty sure it turned out pretty well for that guy... just saying
Yao knows his starmina is not good so he may save his energy to play. Yao, tmac both and our outside shooters all have a bad, cold night but we still win, that's great. And I feel our players know are not nervous any more that's a big sign we can play better next time. thanks for churk he plays really great tonight.
