I know. I know. The Rockets win 2 and here come the "I love the Rockets posts. So here you are. I'm not really concerned about the rox winning every game right now but rather how they are playing. In the last couple of weeks we seem to be finally playing team ball. There is passing. There is some leadership from McGrady, who seems to be getting comfortable with his role as the leader of this team. There are other players stepping up. Sura tonite and Howard last nite. Sura, btw has been looking better and better with each game. His toughness and nose for the ball are something the team has been lacking. I gotta say it, I love watching Sura play. And for that matter, I am for the first time in a LONG time enjoying watching the Rockets. Sure the shoot like hell sometimes, but they really do seem to be making smarter decisions with the ball. And they can even run a fast break now and then. I've been a fan for a long time, and in the past few years I have had a hard time watching an entire Rox game against an average opponent. We just didn't play with motivation or for that matter make good decisions with the ball. But that seems to be changing. I really hope it is the case. Because I can enjoy the Rockets we saw over the last week all year. And it gives me some hope that if we can acquire a tough and atheletic rebounding 4 this offseason that we can mabe think of ourselves as real contenders for something. Granted, its a long way off. But for the first time in awhile I've got something to look forward to.
They have been a pleasure to watch play since the Wesley trade. Even when they came out sleep walking tonight, I still hoped they could hang in there somehow and they did. This team is definitely intriguing. The rest of this season should be a fun ride. We don't have a perfect team but we definitely have an interesting one.
Amen to that. If we have someone step up for us every night like Sura did for us tonight and Howard last night, we will be very difficult to defend.
yeah, i have to say i really appreciate your game philosophy.whats more important is not only a win or a lose, its the team. if we play like a real team, a strong team, maybe we will lose in some nights, but we can still win back more, it is much than a one guy miracle. this team is now on the right track, i believe we can play playoffs, and i also believe by that time, we can be a good team, because we have not show our 100% power sofar, our giant still can not find a way to show his energy, when he figure it out, maybe we can play the finals.
UPRISING still believes, what he said 2 games ago. The Rockets will NOT go below .500 the rest of the season. The turnaround has been made. The team can only go up from now on. Mark my words.
The good thing about our team is that if one or even both of our 2 stars go down with an injury we still have people who can and have stepped up. Yao wont play this bad every game, T-mac will have more good games than bad, Howard has been getting better with this team. Sura is comming around. I can almost assure you that Yao will not have as bad of a game the next game and T-mac should have a good game as well (if his injury isnt worse). The key to this season is everyone outside of T-mac and Yao.
