We can all agree the last 8 years is a sham on all of us. We need to go see an American carol, because the last thing we need is to sit in front of W for 2 hours unless you have a weird facsination thing going...We need something different. We need something free. Shut up!,...yes we do. I do at least. We need change.

Obama is very likeable. Some of you are looking at me weird, Now hold on a sec. I still lean right, but I want to talk about some of the things I like about Obama...I'm being sincere.

Obama has a way of picking up things from his political opponents...He spoke about credit responsibility the way Palin did. He has given credit to McCain on the 401k draw.

Some might find fault in Obama picking things up from political opponents and incorportating them to his stances, but I like that about him. We are told to look at what others do that we embrace, then incorporate it into our own style...I have seen Obama do that, and that has impressed me the most about his style...He is not afraid to look at what the "enemy" is doing and to take heed of what should be incorporated. We have seen him do this with going against Wesley Clark's rhetoric, the wiretapping issue and being more gun friendly.

It would be easy for him to go along with the baseline of his party the way an Al Gore did, but I like he seems to think for himself on some issues. In fact, his mind always seems to be thinking on issues unlike Bush Jr. This implies he is apt to change his mind if an issue or idea has more appeal or merit...even if the idea came from the other side.

This is exactly why I am voting for him, a thoughtful, intelligent man who I believe will get us out of Dubya's mess.

You can say he's learning his oponent's strength and incorporating them, or you can say he's lying through his teeth to get a vote.

You could but him lying isn't really accurate. He's talked all along about finding what we have in common to unite us, rather than focusing only on the differences.

I think roxran is talking about that exact thing in action.

Clean coal was mentioned on the national debates.

 He has publicly stated, both in speeches and on his website (accessible to all states) that he supports clean coal.

As a GIANT Moore fan who was eagerly awaiting this movie (I love satire in all forms, partly why I love MM's work).. I have to say I was extremely disappointed.

Its the only movie I've ever walked out of.

For some reason conservatives just can't compete in the realm of the arts...

That was Biden, who in the past hasn't supported clean coal. He screwed up - the campaign said so. The Obama position is clearly stated on his website:

    http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/newenergy_more#jobs

    #

Develop and Deploy Clean Coal Technology.

Obama’s Department of Energy will enter into public private partnerships to develop five “first-of-a-kind” commercial scale coal-fired plants with clean carbon capture and sequestration technology.

You may not agree with the policy, but it's publicly there for all to see.

I don't think he is very likeable at all.

I just hope he does not lose his mind and can resist the urge to spend like a drunk sailor.

I like that I don't have to vote for his policy differences.

    I don't mind his charisma.

I like his initials... reminds me of Bachman Turner Overdrive a bit... "BHO."

I like his recent different decision to wear a lapel pin.

I like his recent adoption of "fiscal conservatism."

I like that you can spot his hypocrisies very quickly when you compare his campiagn print and promo vids to his speech.

    I like that he's a Democrat. That's different than a Republican.

I like that he's not George Bush's third term.

I like that he's now being called the "messiah" by some... that's truly a big difference.

I like the fact that "The View" finds him ready for prime time and "sexy."

I like that he send chills up some news anchors' spine, and/or leg.

I like that he can cancel SNL with no backlash, while McCain gets railed for cancelling Letterman... that's a difference.

I like that he doesn't scare the far left one bit.

I like that Matt Damon and Cybil Shepard are so in his tank.

I like that he can drop a pastor of 20 years like a hot potato and no one questions his loyalty or allegiances.

I like how he gets sweetheart real estate deals, yet I have to do it the hard way... that's different.

I like how his companions can play the race card in talk shows, video clips and church settings, but no one else dare bring it up for fear of being labeled a racist... that's different.

Oh, there are many things I like that are different.

Can't be worse than the Bush administration in both counts.
