The seats between the baselines are insanely expensive and so only corporations can afford them. Add in the fact you can watch the game from the Lexus Lounge and you have a recipe for disaster in terms of fan support. It feels like the Rockets are in a league of their own when it comes to dealing with this problem.
If the crowd is what determines whether or not the Rockets give effort, then we will be eliminated here in no time, and probably need to find new players.
If that's the case then how come teams always perform better at home, or how game 7s the home team wins like 95% of the time. Home crowd lifts players spirits. It's not ideal but that's reality.
Time to face the facts. Our home crowd has always sucked even during the Clutch City years through the Yao/T-Mac era & now. "Very quiet crowd here for a team with the chance to win a Championship" 3:33 Announcers were saying this during an Elimination Game 4 lol. The fact even Dallas & San Antonio have significantly better crowds than us is a disgrace.
So how sad was it at the half that Reggie said the energy in the building was up once Harden started to get hot - Rockets crowd needs something to cheer for and mentioned that Kenny knows this from his days - which helped our run in the 2nd quarter and only for those first few minutes in the 3rd it seemed to be lively again, only for it to die down. Energy of the crowd is so important for the energy level of the players, to shift momentum, make the opponent nervous and just get the juices flowing and confidence up. When thousands of people are cheering you on, that give you confidence. If you sit there quietly or only a few people do it, it doesn't make a difference. How these rednecks not get that??
Poor example you mean Bill Walton said that He who is known to over exaggerate We were going to sweep them, they are waiting to celebrate
