What's his next move? How will he be remembered?

He said in his last interview that he was broke and without a job.

Maybe he will form a communist cell.

As an idiot representative of why the republican party crashed and burned at the turn of the century.

Plumper? Was that intentional or an accident? Funny either way.

Joe fades into obscurity. No book deal, no recording contract.

You know it's funny, but if Ohio Republicans had successfully purged the voter rolls because typographical errors and names not matching then Joe wouldn't have been allowed to vote. His last name is Wurzelbacher and the voter roll had it listed as Worzelbacher.

I think he might want to start by paying back his taxes and then he can go get his plumbing license.

He will run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, narrowly defeated by Senator Palin.

    Joe the Plumber? Who?

His last name will quickly be forgotten and the rallying cry of "Joe the Plumber" will become even more of a joke with time.

A better question is: Will the "(name) the (occupation)" fad continue or die a quick death?

I would say american idol, but he is too old. Plus, I don't think Paula would hit that.

Just like Palin, he will be an obscure answer on the back of a card in a future version of Trivial Pursuit.

I believe I heard on npr that he had hired a PR firm and was planning on writing a book.

(I also remembering something about him running for office in the future, but I don't think that was from npr.)
