I am guessing, but he was the only one that got a 2 year deal, and Eddie Jordan and his assistants got a 1 year extension making it seem like if EJ failed Tom was his replacement. And, if that guess is right it makes it a very hard situation for a quality coach like TT to accept. So, he smartly walked away. DD
I am guessing too. Is it TT's ambition to become a NBA head coach? The Wizards' situation should be a good situation for him. EJ's not able to install any kind of defense in his team. Very soon, EJ will get canned. As soon as TT wont back-stab, it's okay to stay. It wouldnt be a comfortable work environment for TT because EJ wouldnt really be happy about TT's hiring. But complaining about the physical setup of the offices!? Did EJ put TT beside the janitor's room? Was it really that bad or TT was whinny?
well from what i heard when i worked for the Hofstra Mens Basketball team (head coach tom pecora is close friends with JVG and staff), jeff and his assistants are known to be big a$$holes. that was funny to hear coming from coach pecora who is one of the biggest a$$holes i've ever met. they are all quality individuals from what i understand. if TT thought he was braught in to push out EJ then he wouldn't have gone for that. so in short, my answer is, a little of both options.
boston writer who wrote that has a negative history with thibodeau. dadakota was partially right...when he got there the wizards group had a lot of tension to it and he decided it wasnt for him....the wizards leaked the office stuff to make him look bad so they didnt look bad
