Last I heard, he was coming to grips with the fact that being the Magic Johnson of China = being the towel boy for Sasha Vujacic in the NBA.

I think he could be a decent backup in the NBA but no one signed him so I believe he is back in the CBA now.

I bet you if he was given playing time, Shesa Vujabitch would be his towelboy.

He was playing for the Wizards during Summer League, watched the first game vs. the Nuggets and of course was there for John Wall's debut

he had a few blocks, like 2-3 consecutively, got a cheer from the Asians and Laker fans, pretty funny actually. Cassell took him out after that and got a few boos from the crowd from taking him out

Joel Myers during a game described him as a "10 AM player" or something like that. Someone who looks good in the gym early in the day, but when prime time comes he doesnt shine through. He's got a decent shooting stroke, okay handles, decent passing vision for his height. I wouldnt trust him as a point guard/point forward against NBA competition really. He's like a slightly better passing but weaker body Garrett Temple.

He started out with Washington's Summer League team but in the middle of the Summer League he switched to Milwaukee's Summer League team.

How old is he? Isn't he relatively young? He looks like he's barely 21-22.

He would do well to play in Europe.

Sue Yue is currently with Chinese National Team
The team has just finished the FIBA Stankovic Cup, playing against australia & Slovenija. You may see the game replay on PPTV, of coz you better know chinese for doing so.

On 27/7, Sue attend a commercial event in china with DH. An interview to him was made by a china media "Sohu". Maybe someone can translate it for you.
In the interview he has been asked for the feeling about the past summer league game. He said it was his first time to play in summer league. He did not performed well at the begining, mostly because of experience and position he played. He feel more comfortable to play on pg subsequently with milwakeen. He said he will not give up the dream to play in NBA (meaning there is still no offer to him currently. Too bad)

Sue and Yi will play for CNT in the coming FIBA world game.

Sun Yue is not very talented and if he's really committed to his dream of playing in the NBA, he needs to play in D-League or in Europe for a couple of years. To improve, he has to face better competition. Maybe someone in this country can mentor him and help him adjust (over a period of time) to the culture, speed and athleticism of American basketball. He has a looooooooong way to go. Apparently NBA teams don't think it's likely he will ever develop into anything, which is why he can't find a roster spot. But if he had the guts to play in D-League and eventually distinguish himself enough there, he might catch a break. Considering the marketing potential, I'm sure he'd get snapped up in a hurry if an owner or GM thought he could make a rotation.

Chinese fans questioned Sun's determination to improve his game. Generally we beleive Sun did not work as hard as Yao and Yi. His game is pretty much the same as several years ago. Yi at least built some muscle last season.

Exactly what I am thinking about. I just watch the stankovic game 2006 china vs Australia. Yao, Yi and Sun were there. I am so suprised that I just cannot find any difference from now. Sun's ball dribbling skill is terrible. When there is little body contact, he lose balance and show really hard to pass the ball out. 4 4 years have passed but his improvment is zero.

Yi disappoint me too. Besides of muscle, I am waiting to see more improvement on skill: stable mid range game, low post move, back rim, hook shot, left hand, or at least one hand dunk. But even in CNT now he is the absolute core, he is still scoring by chance but not create his own chance, not mentioning his weak mind and lack of confident. China team should not put hopes on him.

I think he should just switch positions. PG's a really hard position to play, anyway. The only person in recent memory who's tried to play PG at his height is Shaun Livingston. If he's horrible on the ball, just play off it - master a reliable shot and know how to move through screens.
