What Happened to All the Trade Rafer for a Bag of Peanuts guys?

I think this is a good trade. Everyone for years has been saying please dump rafer for scrubs, we finally do dump the guy for some pretty solid players and everyone is mad. We have a big who can spread the floor and hit a triple and a true pg is a very good player. If you ever watched nova when he was there with allan ray and randy foye, lowry was as good a player as foye.

Secondly I knwo its hard for some of you to believe but rafer really wasn't that great a defender. Aaron and Kyle aren't exactly payton but you people will see how much better this team is now that the backcourt of TMAC and rafer doesn't go 7-27 every game.

I don't know what did you read but fans never wanted to trade Alston for nothing.

Not now, I mean you want to make a playoff run, you want to pass the freaking first round and then you trade VERY IMPORTANT player in the offense you have to admit for nothing.

Dumb trade, I don't like it.

Orlando got whole better, they just gave a benchwarmer.

Alston is a good defender! Other teams' stronger and taller PG can score above brooks at will.

Same here...I bet guys here are forgetting about rafer's 2-11 shootings, just because he been consistent lately doesnt mean he won't choke the rest of the season just like years before.

So Lowry can defend and Brooks has offense... is this what Morey's thinking?

If we could go back about a month and read people's posts about Rafer....

People are quite bi-polar to say the least.

aint going to lied but I was one of those guy. I never like Rafer. Called him Brick-fer. However, this trade doesn't make sense at all. Skip might be brick-fer but he's know the offense and run it well without t-wack. Lowry is a run and gun playa that can't shoot. Don't know how that improve this team.

That would be great if he was taller than like 5'10" without shoes.

He plays a lot bigger than his height (has a lot of bulk), I remember last year he kept posting up on Rafer.

everyone says rafer ran the offense so well? Really from what I've seen this year our offense sucks. Any guy at the pro level can "run an offense" What we need from our pg is to get the ball to yao and to make smart decisions. Rafer and his 3-14 nights are not smart decisions. Smart would be to know you can't hit a jumper to save your life and just stop shooting and pass it to guys who can shoot.

I not missing Rafer either. We have guys who can pass the ball. We NEEDED guys who could hit open shots and drive to the basket. Lowry drives to the basket. I always like the guy even when he was in Ohio.

I'm telling you, people dont realize those 6-27 nights from TMAC and rafer were killers. If you lose by 6 or 7 points and those 2 combine to miss 19 shots plus 3 or 4 at the line that is just the death penalty. I can't remember what game a few weeks back really late in the 4th rafer got fouled and missed both, you have to hit crunch time ft!!!
