On Thursday on "Inside The NBA" or the halftime show Barkley was doing the "YMCA" dance and talking about Steve Nash's hair. Unfortunately, I did not watch it. Can someone please tell me all the events that happened at halftime and after the game Thursday? I want to post what happened on TNT Thursday on my website. It looked like fun! ------------------
It was pretty incredible. At half-time, Barkley stated that the Jazz fans intimidate the refs in the Delta center and the Jazz get all the calls in their favor. (Not the exact quote, but close). I'm waiting for Stern to fine him!! When Steve Nash was interviewed after the game, Barkley commented to Steve "We need to do something about that hair". Nash never misssed a beat and immediately responded "it's strictly for the girls Charles". Everyone cracked up. Because the show was aired from Atlanta and Gary Payton was the guest commentator, they showed some footage from the '96 Olympics. GP was on the Dream Team bench watching Barkley do the "YMCA" hand/arms signals during a timeout from a game. I can't even begin to describe Payton's expression as he watched Charles. That was funny enough but when the crew rolled "YMCA" in the studio, Sir Charles got out of his chair and repeated the performance. Live and with Sir Charles' additional weight, it was outrageously funny! ------------------ GATER
lol! Unfortunately the halftime show was blocked out in UT, but I got to see the postgame show... it looks like Charles and Gary are tight. The Wizards top pick + young players (Courtney Alexander) for Gary??? ------------------ women love me, fish fear me.
DJ - I am relatively sure of Nash's response except for the word "strictly". Nash either used "strictly", or "just", or neither. If you quote Nash as "it's for the girls, Charles" you'd be at 95%. Sorry, Nash's response was so fast, you almost got the impression he knew it was coming. He's not Scot Pollard, but he is recognizable! ------------------ GATER
