I am in the market for a GPS for trips and such. Need a unit that a 60 yr old brain dead person can use. I want one that I can use in and out of my truck. About $450 or less.

Have read some of the reviews and am more confused the I was When I started looking.

After some research I recently bought a Garmin Nuvi 350 and absolutely love it. They make a 360 model that comes with a built-in FM transmitter but I didn't need that -- and it cost about $100 extra. You should be able to find the them for less than $400.

    bingo.

the discussion starts and ends with the Garmin Nuvi 350.

been using it for about 3 months, on long distance trips, trips 5 miles away from home.... this thing's great.
