What former role player in Rockets history would you like to add to this team?

No former all-stars allowed and no plus 10+ point scorers either. Only the players performance for the Rockets counts.

    Who would you select?

I would select Chuck "Wagon" Hayes. He was a beast in defense, underrated passer, good rebounder and a great teammate. My favorite Chuck Hayes memory was when he got that triple double vs the Warriors with a 10 point, 10 rebound and 10 assist game.

I also got banned once back in the day when I spammed "move that bus" in reference to Chuck Hayes being as thick as DaDakota's head.

    Good choice with Hayes.

You talking "no All-Star or 10ppg" with the Rockets, or "no All-Star or 10ppg" ever?

With the Rockets, and only counting with how they performed for the Rockets.

Battier only averaged 10 ppg in one season for us

Are we talking about a limit for individual seasons, or at any point in their entire Rockets career?

I'll go 07-08 Battier, or 15-16 Clint if available

Battier (10.1 ppg his first year here, I'mma let it slide) or maybe Mutombo

There was a guy once that played the role of dominant center. I'd want him.

Vernon Maxwell off the bench or start. I still need to see more from Jalen or Clint Capela.

....10pt scoring be damned, Otis Thorpe is always the answer here. He averaged just over 10, but he was basically the dirty work guy/role player of coach's dreams. Battier is another good answer here along with Chuck Wagon and I got mad love for the version of Carl Landry with Dirk's tooth embedded in his forearm.

Going with team need, I'd choose Kyle Lowry as a backup PG. He averaged under 10ppg before he became a starter on the Rockets.

If Battier counts then it has to be him for me. Adding that defensive mind and preparation to this current incarnation of the Rockets likely makes us the top defense in the league.

OT averaged well over 10ppg every season he was with the Rockets, and was an all-star here.

Other than that, it's a great choice! He's one of my all-time favorite Rockets.

Jason Collier or Eddie Griffin would help this Rockets team a lot.

If those two are not available, I would go with Pig Miller.

If we are limiting it to their time with Rockets I'd say Nene... that's without thinking too long about it. If I give it more time my answer might change

Otis does not count, he averaged well over 10 points and he was also a one time all-star with the Rockets.
He was a beast though, when I watched old '94 games I got hooked with his game.
