my inner Gunnery Sgt. Hartman, who perpetually motivates me:

Gunnery Sergeant Hartman, Drill Instructor: Are you quitting on me? Well, are you? Then quit, you slimy ****ing walrus-looking piece of ****! Get the **** off of my obstacle! Get the **** down off of my obstacle! Now! Move it! I'm going to rip your balls off, so you cannot contaminate the rest of the world! I will motivate you, Private Pyle, if it short-dicks every cannibal on the Congo!

Oh that's right, Private Pyle, don't make any ****ing effort to get to the top of the ****ing obstacle! If God would have wanted you up there he would have miracled your ass up there by now, wouldn't he?

Were you born worthless, or did you have to work at it?

Bull****! Sound off like ya got a pair!

Pyle, you had best un**** yourself and start ****ting me Tiffany cufflinks or I will definitely **** you up!

    That's about it.

The ultimate objective of any action undertaken by a man is in an effort to advance his goal of placing his penis into the vagina of an extremely attractive woman.

Think about that for a while and you will concur.

Well it's almost the same thing. Just replace v****** with a***.

It's exactly the same thing when you think in terms of orgasm and release.

Now motivation for a woman is a man with the ability to provide good genes for procreation and a man with the ability to provide for her children afterwards, sometimes in the same man.

Disagree with Trader_Jorge. What about when you have already screwed the woman you consider most attractive? Do you stop living?

Everythign a man does is to raise his status within his life/ecosystem.

When you finally have this "very attractive woman", trying staying quiet about it and not telling anyone. Sure, you'll feel great, but you won't feel "success."

if anyone here has read the book The Fountainhead, by Ayn Rand. then you would know that you should only do things for your self. and not to impress upon your fellow man.

ever since i have read that book i have tried to follow that more and more.

Well, technically, you should be impressing God all the time trying to get into heaven (assuming that's the system you believe in).

You should not disagree with the truth (= what coma and T_J said).

As to your question, it depends. Some men think they have reached the goal, but most men's hunting instincts will make them look for the next prey! :D

I've read a little of it, couldn't make it to the end. For a short read, try "The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins. To paraphrase, human beings are DNA delivery devices, driven by our need to seed.
